Fitment problem with wastegate/downpipe.

I am encuountering a problem with fitting my Turbo setup on.
The setup is a HKS manifold,TO4S with about 5 inches of extension, and SS autochrome wastegate.
The problem is that I am not gonna clear the wastegate enough to let the Downpipe settle into the space between the wastegate and the Firewall.Top it off the brass hose couplers would hit the downpipe.
SO,I am thinking a smaller wastegate would alleviate this problem.
Can anyone suggest a Shorter wastegate compared to the SS Autochrome wastegate.
here is a pic of the wastegate>it is the 50mm Racing wastegate.(and I have about 10 friends running this with no issues.) http://www.ssautochrome.com/level.it...=&icJumpPage=2
PRICE is a variable on this too.So no 600 dollar suggestions!!!
thanks Guys.STYX!~

Pics please, cause I am not picturing the problem. If I am understanding your description correctly, you have 5 inches of DP spacer (a bridg if you will) between the turbo and a SS autchrome DP. The problem is that the DP hits the wastegate, correct?

How about making a 45 (or 90) degree spacer (same idea as the 5 inch DP spacer/bridge) between the wastegate and the manifold? That will resposition the wastegate lower, something similar to this, but with more angle:

The only thing is that the wastegate will be closer to the ground, but if memory serves me correct, the wastegate placement on those cast HKS manifolds were quite high, so you should have room to play with.

BTW - You are ballsy running one of those chinese wastegates!

I was able to mock up the downpipe, sort of..to the turbo.
I put the pipe above the Extension on the turbo(ex housing side) and I marked it.It is very close to where I need it to be IF I cut that extension down.
The only way that I am gonna be able to use the set up is by chopping that extension off.It is either that or the downpipe. But I would rather get that extension off the turbo as the O2 bung would be so close to the Vband if I cut the Nose off the downpipe and shortened it there.
I have to put a flange on the RB silencer too(Vband).
..So,I Think I have it figured out.
...I just need an "oxymoron" now..I Mean a Cheap and reliable wastegate!

I know that the SS Autochrome is a Knock off..
It was recommended by the lads here that have ran them and had no Issues with them.
The only downside I am up against is it is too Freakin BIG.
So,I need a Recommendation for a Smaller more compact wastegate..But Hopefully I don't have to Cut out my left ******** to get it.!
