Finally I made it
After having the FD parked up for 9 months and then 6-7 months ago decided to put it back on the road and get the conversion done at the same time, its finally done. All is left is dyno and ECU mapping.
This thing is going to be a bitch to spool. Not sure about powers but since the engine is not ported it will be limited to what it can achieve.
Setup includes:
- GT4088 Turbo
- 60mm HKS style wastegate
- Greddy style FMIC
- Greddy type RS BOV
- Aeromative style FPR
- Bouch 1600cc secondary injectors
- Walbro fuel pump
- After market secondary fuel rail
- Apexi FC + commander
- Apexi AVCR boost controller
- Apexi RSM speed meter + G-sensor
- Apexi SVAC II air/fuel controller
- Koyo aluminum radiator
- Custom 3" exhaust with decat
I'm sure I've forgot few parts ..

i just had a very similar setup on my dyno this past week! i was getting up to 20psi by 4500rpms... it climbs like a ******* wall so be ready for severe tire spinning this was same turbo on stock port FD.
you should be able to get 400rwhp on pump no issue
have fun!

I have the same turbo and I love it. I have pretty large ports and a 1.06 A/R turbine housing. It spools nicely, about 10 psi. by 3500 rpm. What A/R did you go with for the turbine housing??

I had the SVAC II installed a while back ago when there was no even knowledge of single turbo setups. Probably had it on the car few months after I bought the car. The Apexi FC + commander was obviousely needed for the single turbo conversion.

That is the largest A/R made for that turbine I believe, with stock ports you may have some trouble spooling it. See how everything works out once you get it tuned, but I would suggest going with the .96 A/R turbine housing instead, if you are sticking with stock ports.

Struggeling to find a HKS style 4" air filter to fit on the turbo and the dyno guys dont want to run the car with the turbo open like this.

Well see how the car do on the dyno next week and try few test drives, this will help to decide if its spooling enough for me or switch to a smaller A/R.

disappointing results
Had this thing finally dynoed and the power output was really disappointing. The only conclusion I could come up with is the turbo. I probably need to consider something like T04R/T04Z or GT30 something along this line.
Please look at the dyno and feel free to feedback what you think? Also recommendations on turbos good for 450-500whp in the region of $1200 or near. Has to have a T4 flange so can replace the GT4088 straightward.

1 bar of boost which is 14.50 psi on 95 Octane .. I wasn't present during the tune but asked them later why didn't they push it to like 1.2 or 1.4 bar at least. THe tuner said to me he didn't know how far I wanted to go and he didn't know the history of the engine and didn't want to risk breaking the rotors tips.

But I was speaking to someone else today and he was certain that the turbo was just too big for the car specially with stock ports. I'm now looking for 400-450hp rating turbo on the hope this might free some power and also help spool faster.

That turbo should be making much more then that at 14psi. A local member here (aaroncake on the board...) is making 386whp(ish) at 13psi on a very conservative tune on that turbo. Engine setup was entirely different but that wouldn't make up the ~75hp difference.
I'd be looking at things in this order:
-tune
-engine health (low compression engine isn't going to put down as much as a healthy one)
-engine parameters. As in, is the FMIC doing its job, how are the EGT's (any exhaust restricitons?) that type of thing.....

Front rotor: 7.6 / 7.7 / 7.8
Rear rotor : 8.2 / 8.2 / 8.1
These should be good numbers or at least I think so .. I only picked up the car on Friday afternoon and gone to work. Dropped the car to the bodyshop on Saturday to sort the front bumper and wings, so didn't have chance to check anything on it yet.
The down pipe is 3" I think but the rest of the exhaust looks like 2.5", this I discussed with my fab shop today and they said its no problem, they could make me a 3" all way back or even 4".
When I get the car back end of this week, I'll plug in the wide band controller and do few runs and log A/F. Also monitor the boost and check for any leak. I'm just wary of messing with the FC and the settings as I'm not experienced much with that stuff I'm more used to Honda and Hondata tunning on my other car.

The tuner tuned the car using a laptop and I'm assuming through datalogit but what are my limitations with the FC hand held controller!!!!
The guy who suggested the turbo was big is different from the tuner.

But what kinda of chances I'm taking if boosting at a level like this? Don't think stock rotor tips or seals will last for long on 25psi!!! Also I'm running a stock map sensor which I belive can read only like 17psi if I'm not mistaken (this is easy to fix I know, probably just get a GM 3bar map sensor).

So give em a call. Think he got betweeen 1-2 weeks wait on tuning atm.
