Ok so I have a 94 fd that I'm making single turbo, I'm doing it myself ;( (stupid I know) and after I'm getting it tuned. But, I'm a little lost on all the lines that ran to old intake turbo system, so does anyone have like a link that would help or maybe pictures. Or anyone local wanna help?

Doing it youself isn't stupid as long as you know what your doing fabrication wise. I would print off a few of the pages here http://www.turborx7.com/rx7vacuum.htm
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...acuum+diagrams

Fitting wise it depends on the turbo you use and lines you want to run. Again searches in this section should go a long way. All the information is here.

this diagram should help you out a bunch more..

stuff i did not noted on this diagram: i put breather filters on top of my metering oil injectors, and removed my purge control solinoid as well as the rest of the other solinoids under the UIM. all unused ports were blocked off with vacuum caps. PCV was removed, and oil filler port where the PCV valve was attached is now going to an oil catch can. Fuel pressure regulator was also attached to a port on the UIM

Re: the vacuum caps, I've found it works much better to either:

(a) in the case of side by side nipples, loop a short length of silicone hose from one nipple to the other, or

(b) use a short length of silicone hose with a bolt in the end. doesnt look pretty, but......

the rubber vacuum caps will degrade pretty quickly from the engine bay heat, causing them to be very failure prone. the silicone is much more resistant, if anyone has a source for silicone vacuum by all means share it with the rest of us

Also, one huge advantage of going with the GZ LIM is to get rid of many of the useless nipples.

Keep in mind the row of 4 nipples on each side of the stock LIM are simply pass throughs and can be kept uncapped.

wait can you just plug the unused oil drain port or does it have to run into the catch can?

You can go either route. Some people dont like the crap from the catch can to run back into the motor.

the "rats nest" should be removed. it controls the twins and emmisions controls. the only thing u need under the UIM is the fuel rails/injectors and coils

So what would the best option for removing the wiring for the twin system on the loom that goes under the UIM? Could one just leave them there?

i would think the proper way would be to cut and cap all that are unused wires for that really clean look. personaly i am just leaving them there as my harness is in really good condition.
