F-Con Pro might be coming here....

hks's new site hksusa.com has listed the f-con pro and other f-con's in it's site. finally! maybe this means they will bring em out soon. it says currently unavaliable, but why would they list it if it wasnt coming out.

i already emailed em, being a seller of hks products. i will be sure to buy this over haltech if it comes out.

this will be kickass. i cant wait.

LET ME KNOW!

What advantages does it hold over the haltech? I mean, my FCON blows. (at least compared to a haltech)

The FCON V Pro will be available in the US. Currently some of their HKS Pro Dealers have both the software and the sytems. The problem with it is that it is not going to be consumer tunable. Only HKS Pro Dealers will have the software to tune it and the FCON is not Plug and Play. There are no base maps what-so-ever until some of the Pro Dealers create and sell the FCON with maps.

Unlike the PFC there is no way for a consumer to take the FCON home and program it themselves. There is no commander that you can fool with. The only way you can get it programed is either by getting your car dynoed at a Pro dealer or wait till some of the Pro dealers create maps and sell the FCON with them. Direct from HKS the FCON is completely blank....no base map like the PFC.

From what i know it will be a bit more that the PFC. With the FCOV Pro V and the vehicle specific harness it will be a bit. Though it is somewhat of a piggy back since it still incorporates the stock ECU and sensors many tuners feel that it has better tuning characteristics for timing and fuel.

Not 100% on why but again it will not be like th PFC as that there is no enduser programability.

Yes the old FCON did kinda blow.

If you look at the HKS site the FCON Pro information has been taken off. Plans to release it have been pushed back to next year some time for the US.

You can always get the FCON S, it has base map, but I don't think it's a standalone. It's a piggy. Only the FCON V Pro can be a standalone.
