Extra cooling for singles?

Anyone rig up a way to add a little extra cooling to an oil cooled turbo? I'd love to eventually circulate some coolant around my t-78
Ideas welcome...

Well I have thought for a long while about interesting ways to cool udner the hood and the best Ive come up with a thin layer of this neon blue lit type thing that you can get in computer towers. It fits a drive bay and glows that cool blue like one of your PS2s lights. These things lower computer temps by like 30 degrees celsius, if someone could fab one that fit on the hood in a very thin sheet it coudl mount right on liek how some cars hoods have little cardboard things under the hood (Supras have the cardboard ****). This huge sheet would obviosuly be overbaord and prolyl a lil heavy but I bet it would be a helluva lot colder under there. I dont know the weight of the material, or what it's called, but if someone ever comes up with it, Id be interested in seeing what would be required to get one done. Sorry, but you said ideas welcome...

What is too hot?

For oil, run better oil coolers and synthetic oil.

For underhood temps, get some coatings on the exhaust manifold, turbine housing, and downpipe. A vented hood would help a lot, too.

Are you talking about Peltier junctions? If so, they suck huge amounts of power and I really don't think they could dissipate enough heat. Like Max says, just cool your oil with larger/multiple oil coolers.

Oh, one more thing I remembered after watching hte Mclaren F1 Top Gear video again (and again), gold is the best heat dissipator, that's why the F1's engine bay is lined with the stuff, not practical, but if it's good enough for mclaren I think its good enough for anyone. Thinking outside the box as always.

ever seen the Impreza Rally car? It's got the air coming through the radiator and then back up and out the top-front of the hood. Probably acts as a little downforce as well as keeps all that radiator heat from getting inside the engine bay.
