Explaination of injector duty/millisecionds

Can someone tell me how does milliseconds relate to injector duty.

How do I know what duty cycle I am at if duty is logged as milliseconds.

i'm not sure but how it's rated i think the max. millisec. the injector runs is 8. at that point you're at a 100% duty cycle.

Duty is the percentage of total cycle time available that the injector is open. Cycle time is RPM dependent. As you can see in the graph below cycle time decreases with increased revs. A rotary run in sequential mode will have one cycle per revolution (inj/rev on the chart). For example, at 6000 rpm there is a total cycle time of 10mS. An injector pulse width of 9mS at 6000 rpm would be a 90% duty cycle. That same 9mS pulse width at 4000 rpm is only a 60% duty cycle.

What is a maximum safe injector duty in milliseconds to be at?

the number of milliseconds would depend on your RPM.
But I am pretty sure you don't want any more than a 85-90% duty cycle for most injectors.
So I believe you should ask yourself what RPM.
