No, i'm using the coolingmist kit, but this aquamist DDS3 v8 is my failsafe, worth it for sure. I bought it directly from aquamist's USA supplier. PM Richard L on here for more info.

Don't want to get off topic but I just purchased an oil temp gauge for my fd.
What should the correct oil temp be in a single T78 so when I set it up i'll know?

IMO the fuel pressure is an overkill and is mainly for trouble shooting porpuses.

Here are my absolutes:

EGT, Wideband, Boost. Off the power FC I read Injector duty cycle, water temp, and intake temps.

I keep my gauges to a minimum as I only want them to warn me of a potential dangers. Any others are for diagnostic purposes.

EGT is cosmetic unless the probe is pre-turbo. Fuel pressure is nice to have to know its all good but if you have a wideband you know if your AFR's are OK anyway. Oil pressure is useless because our cars don't really have oil pressure issues AND the stock gauge is good enough to warn you of any problems if your sendor is working OK. If you have a PFC, water temp is also useless since you can see that on the commander.

I have boost, wideband, fuel pressure, and EGT (i know its cosmetic but its nice).

I have dual EGT probes pre-turbo but they are hooked up only to the datalogit and not a gauge hehe.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but I am in the same boat.

Currently I have a TurboSmart E-boost controller/gauge in a single 60mm a-pillar pod and I'm thinking about selling that.

I have a A-spec 500R and the 7 is going to be a weekend car that will just be doing some spirited driving here and there, but mostly just a street car.

I was thinking of doing a 3 pod a-pillar setup, or if needed, 2 pod a-pillar setup with 3 pod center console.

I'm pretty set on getting the Defi Racer gauges, but now I just need to figure what I need. I know I will need boost and want a wideband A/F gauge, but what else?

Here are the gauges I was thinking: boost, wideband a/f,

Bump

I am buying my gauges tonight, I've waited long enough, going with Defi BF gauges

I am getting Boost for sure and then I don't know what else. I'm basically debating between water temp, oil temp, oil pressure and fuel pressure, which are the important ones out of those 4 and why?

I have a PFC so I can read my Duty Cycle, Water Temp, and Intake temp off of that

From what I've read, fuel pressure gauge is useless if I have a wideband A/F which I will be getting so that is out of the mix.

Oil pressure is useless as or stock gauge works fine and we don't have many problems with oil pressure.

So that leaves EGT gauge and Oil temp.

I can either run Boost and one of those gauges along with a 60MM wideband a/f gauge in a 3 pillar pod (is there a 60MM pod?) or run a different setup. Either center console gauges or the possibilities are endless.

Boost, Wideband A/F and Oil Temp as my 3 gauges in the A-pillar sound good? And then my PFC can monitor duty cycle, air intake temps and water temps. Someone said the PFC also reads our EGT? Anyone confirm that?

Ok, so I'm thinking of having a A/F readout in the steering wheel pod because I just feel as though having 2 Defi BF's with a different A/F gauge will just look awkward.

So I'm going to get boost, oil temp and then should I get EGT or fuel pressure or oil pressure?

if i had to choose between EGT, Fuel or Oil, I'd probably choose fuel pressure.

The stock oil pressure gauge will work, it's not nearly as accurate, but it works.

EGT is a also a good one...

I'm running:

Wideband, boost, fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, egt

have the wideband on top of wheel with one of the single 1 pod colums, a 3 gauge a pillar, and a 3 gauge fly pod on dash

How funny I made this post in 2007 when I didn't have a single turbo but now I do.

The car right now has 7 gauges.

Boost
Water temp
Oil Pressure
Oil Temp
EGT
Air Fuel Ratio
Fuel Pressure

I"ll be getting rid of the Oil Pressure, EGT, Water Temp (I can read it on the PFC) and Fuel pressure

I have:

- Boost gauge, wastegate duty & afr in single gauge (innovate SCG-1)
- Dual EGT single gauge 1 in each runner before turbo (Innovate DLG-1)
- Oil temp (depo)
- Oil pressure (depo)
- Water temp (depo)
- Meth flow gauge (aquamist)

I'm looking to get rid of a few gauges.. just don't know which ones yet.. car looks like a x-mas tree at night lol..

Water temp.
AFR.
Air temp
Boost

3 of these can be monitored by power FC, air temp, water temp, and boost.

The AFR cannot and will need to be purchased.

Through AFR you can tell if you have fuel issues, it will show up on your AFR's.

Water temp is needed as you don't want to overheat, oil temps should follow water temps and vice versa, I don't think its possible to have high oil temps and low water temps.

I like to monitor air temps as the air/fuel temp correction factor comes into play, and the stock air temp sensor lags some, so I wait till it stabilizes before going crazy.

Boost, as long as it stays under the limit for your fuel and is controlled you are all good for your map. you don't want it to creep too much if its close to the limits of your map tuning or your MAP sensor or what not.
