engine gasket kit

is it necessary to order the engine gasket kit when i put the rebuilt into the car? The UIM and LIM gaskets look fine and the exhaust gaskets look good as well.

I do not reuse any rubber seal or copper crush washers. The exhaust gaskets can often be reused if they are not blown or cracked. Look for evidence of exhaust gasses seeping past the gasket (will be soot). I always replace the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets. They are not that expensive. If the lower leaks, you may be pulling the turbo to change it later depending on the turbo setup.

Thanks for the input, the exhaust gaskets look fine, i'll change the intake manifold gaskets just to be safe. Any recommendations on the best place to get them? I also need new washers for all of the Banjo Fittings - feed for the turbo, and also the main oil lines on the engine. Also, what is the best turbo oil drain material, when i removed the old one it was just heater hose and it was hard as a rock by the turbo. neither fitting has threads, so AN braided lines are out.

Malloy Mazda for the upper and lower gaskets and all the crush washers. They are one time use only. Stainless is the best for oil return.
