Real nice #s for pump gas! This was a t4 I assume? What were your peak injector duty cycles?

no its a t3 1.06 a/r, short runner, open wastegate. the power came from the port work. it was done by lowe's performance in sarasota,fl. i dont think he is well known but he does great work. car idles great too. injector dutys were at 83%.

lowes knows here stuff I was told awhile back. My dad bought a T-II off him 4-5 years ago. Also there is a local guy here in Huntsville , AL. "Van Cleef Racing" mostly Supras, but he uses Mike Lowe for any rotary rebuilds. Great numbers for pump and even better numbers than I woulkd have thought possible with a T3 and the short runners!! WOW!

My friend Matt put down 410rwhp at 14.7psi on 93 octane with a long runner manifold and T3 35R with 1.06 hotside.

Nice numbers smg944. And very nice cars too.

Was your friend also running a ported motor?

Back to topic: Those are great numbers. I really wouldn't have expected those from a T3 and especially on pump. Nice Job!!!

That's very impressive without the T4 and 500R wheel! I wonder how much of a difference 93oct 15.4lbs is compared to 91oct at 15lbs? Any pics or idea of how large the exteneded race ports are? Was it a Judge Ito template or his own port work?

i have pics of the ports. its tough to tell by the pics. the secret is a full port. not just opening the face hole. my port was all the way through. from where the intake manifold connects to the rotor opening. i had him port it and i built the motor myself with mazda 2mm seals.

btw here are some vids if anyone would like to see. they are on the top of the page. also the vids are 3rd gear which i was doing most of the tuning. the highest hp and final dynos were in 4th gear.

Guys those are good numbers for a ported 35R T3 setup, the T4's are getting roughly 10-12 hp more on average with better response. It just shows that when setup correctly you will see good results, and a lot can play into that. Credit to the builder!

thanks to all the responces...

the ambient temp was 76*f with 5% humidity. it was actually 50* outside, but the dyno room is small so it heats up some. i was seeing 39-41c air temps. the dyno was located in MA, cd performance, he said steve kan had gone there a few years back to tune some rx7s.

3" exhaust all the way. i also have a racing beat dual tip. if i had an apexi n1 or something similar im sure i could have gotten a few more hp. but i like it quiet at normal driving.
