Dyno time @ PFSupercars today!!!

I will post up what my little GT40R can do later on. Until then, anyone wanna guess what it will do on 27-28psi @ c116?

Dee Edmundson

PS. Along with the mods in my sig, I have an upgraded ignition, and another fuel pump, and Profec B.

Since i don't really know anything re: hp numbers from that turbo, or how to guess from the rest of you mods, i'm not going to take a shot; but with that much PSI and race gas, and your supporting mods, i'm sure it's going to be quite satisfactory and more. Can't wait to see the #'s!

Ok, the results are in. My car did:

439whp & 304 wtq @ 15psi at only 6100rpms. This was on 5 gallons of c116 and about 8 gallons of 93

Ray had to stop there, because my leading coil is pretty bad off. He said that I need a new coil and he has to put in another fuel pump and I'll be able to see what it can really do.

Those are some good numbers; how much were you really looking for if the coil and fuel pump were okay?

Just a guess, because I didn't ask, would be around 460-470 @ 15psi.
The fuel pump is fine. I just need 2 to run 27-30psi like I plan to run on c116

Ray is an excellent tuner. Those numbers were what I would expect at 15psi on a good tune. We have a customer that made 395rwhp@13.5psi on a very conservative tune using the same GT40R turbo on our turbo kit so the numbers were within the same range. Congrats on your numbers!!!!

Got a question, why was he mixing C16 with pump gas for 15psi? You lose some hp from using race gas.

Ray didn't build my car, so he said that he wanted to have the safety of the extra octane.

Steve, do you think I would have made around 470whp had he been able to run all the way up the rpms?

i know when ray tuned mine...peak hp was right around 6100...so taking it to redline I doubt would yield 470 @ 15 psi....I was going to ask after you intial post how you intended to run 20+ psi on a single supra pump;-) Regardless those are nice numbers and I am not sure what power you were making before, but I know after my hp levels went from about 330rwhp on the stock twins to 420rwhp and 345ft torque on the single it was a HUGE difference...you should be grinning from ear to ear when you step on it!

What turbo are you running to be making peak power at 6100? I have rather large ports and quite a nice size turbo. I really doubt that my peak hp numbers would be at 6100. But, I could be wrong.

I'm going to assume that 439 hp was achieved at 6100 RPM... this would give a torque of 378 ft*lbs at 6100 RPM. You said the max torque was 304.

Something isn't clear to me here... can you post up the sheet?

Anyhow, whatever the numbers were, I'm sure that you're in GOOD HANDS with Ray!

I don't have a copy of the sheet. When Ray gets back in town around the first of the year, I'll see if he can send it to me. I don't know if 304 was my peak tq. I just know that is what I saw on the screen. It showed 439 for hp and to the right it had 304 tq.

Damn nice numbers...that port really does kill my power...Guess its time for a port soon...Also, are you running a short runner or long runner manifold?

Austin,

I would say that it's kinda in between short and long. I have a huge streetport and it makes a difference.
