does any one have expirience with the SR motorsports turbo set ups? espicialy the stage one kit.
Stage 1 Kit
Stage I Turbo Kit
This kit is designed and custom built by SR Motorsports for the street driven 93-95 RX-7. Full boost responce by 3500 rpm. Comes complete with a brand new SR Motorsports custom spec KKK turbo, custom exhaust manifold, 40 mm wastegate, stainless steel 304 downpipe, aircraft quality AN fitting oil lines, block off plates, vacuum tubing, water lines , complete instructions and heat shields.
Says it will make upto 480hp and spool at 3500?
This turbo is quite pricey @ $4,699 and im not sure if it would really be worth it?

Not worth it...
It's funny they don't mention you're going to almost guarantee require a stand-alone EMS to get that kinda power levels. You're not expecting to just slap that onto your stock ECU car and expect it to produce power levels like that, right?
I'd rather go with the XS Engineering kit for better bang for the buck.

i understand that to make anywhere near 480rwhp it will take extensive modification and proper tunning of a stand alone computer.
The big thing that got me interested in the turbo was one the claims to the capability to flow enough air to make 480rwhp and have a decent spool of only 3500 rpms. That was what i was trying ton convay ( i should have worded it better).

I have this kit, some others have the Stage 2.
People are right, in that its very expensive for what it really s, namely a Holset diesel turbo. Also, its only a dry CHRA....
That being said, its does make good power and spool very quick, but you can probably make your own T60-1/T04S kit for a lot cheaper.
The Stage 1 should make about 400rwhp at 15psi.
