On car pics:

Manifold w/TurboSmart 35mm wastegate

Garrett T66 with tangential divided turbine housing:

The manifold flange is 1/2" thick mild steel. The manifold piping is 304 stainless steel, 8 gauge thick (0.145"). The turbine housing is tangential divided and is made for a V-band downpipe. The downpipe is made from 3" aluminized steel and the wastegate is closeloop (routed back into the downpipe). I'll show pics of the downpipe and completed pics later. Tell me what you think?

The manifold is $800 and comes already polished. The 3" downpipe with wastegate dumptube flexpipe and V-band flange is $300.

Read the information about each one, compare pics, and it should be fairly obvious.

The ones on Ebay are made from thin walled (probably 14-16 gauge) stainless steel and will crack after a couple of months, that is why they are so cheap. For those manifolds, you have to weld braces on to help stiffen it up since it is a load bearing member. On this manifold, the material is so thick, it does not need bracing.
