On car pics:

Manifold w/TurboSmart 35mm wastegate

Garrett T66 with tangential divided turbine housing:

The manifold flange is 1/2" thick mild steel. The manifold piping is 304 stainless steel, 8 gauge thick (0.145"). The turbine housing is tangential divided and is made for a V-band downpipe. The downpipe is made from 3" aluminized steel and the wastegate is closeloop (routed back into the downpipe). I'll show pics of the downpipe and completed pics later. Tell me what you think?

The manifold is $800 and comes already polished. The 3" downpipe with wastegate dumptube flexpipe and V-band flange is $300.

Read the information about each one, compare pics, and it should be fairly obvious.

The ones on Ebay are made from thin walled (probably 14-16 gauge) stainless steel and will crack after a couple of months, that is why they are so cheap. For those manifolds, you have to weld braces on to help stiffen it up since it is a load bearing member. On this manifold, the material is so thick, it does not need bracing.

Agreed. But quadruple the cost?

That about how much it costs to have a custom one made.

Thats a Badass Manifold!

The thickness of the steel is crazy! The welds are perfect. The quality of the work is outstanding to say the least. They are making me one also and I will post pics after it has been completed. Its definitely worth the money......this thing will outlast all of those crappy ebay manifolds and then some. Its the last manifold you'll ever own. Thanx, Jorge C.

These were pictures of A-spec manifold next to the reworked ebay manifolds, gives you a idea in difference of what you get, between the two, for your money. "I can assure you they are bullet proof." Was what I was told when I talked to Sean, he said flanges were 3/4 base and 5/8 for turbo. Used stainless pipe for the runners, I know he charges around $750 for custom manifolds when I stopped by last he was finishing up one for a GT42R. I'll see if ican get him to get me some pics. here is the link he gave me.

What you can't see with that is the wall thickness of the tubes. It's much thicker than the ebay crap. Just the weight alone between the two will tell you that the A-Spec version is a much stronger piece. I can't quote what the wall thickness is as I don't remember.

Do I smell a group buy maybe? That would be cool......save money and get a great manifold at the same time.
