Custom intake manifolds

Custom Intake Manifolds

I see threads asking all the time, well I came across this

http://rotaryaviation.com/intake_manifold1.htm

Doesn't give any info as far as peak torque, runner length or dia. but they look good, and if your fabing your own manifold the lower section they sell would be good for a sheet metal runner etc. Just thoght peeps might want to see this. I'm just guessing, but most aviation engines run constant like 5500 rpm, so the torque peak should be good for a street car.

That seems like some good manifolds. These are really great considering how hard it would be to get aluminum tube or casting to match up with the ports.

I know Pineapple Racing/Groundzero motorsports are making a better lower intake manifold for the 3rd gens. According to Ralph, either the front rear rotor flows quite a bit more air. I can't remember wich. But anyways, the new manifold, will have a place for anouther top feed fuel rail. And Ralph was also saying something about a LIM for the semi peripheral ported cars. I'm realy interested. Maybe Ralph will fill us in, on my fuzzy details. CJ

If I had the money, I would proabaly run a good IDF, manifold, with a Big TWM thottle body on there.

A 50 MM IDF TB from TWM has four injector bungs for bosch style injectors, and you can get prefabbed Haltech TPS mounts.

maybe someday.

We are going to cast a new lower manifold for the FD. It will have two
extra injector bosses that will be I dentical to the factory secondary spacing, so we can use the same railss etc. Also the runners will be moved and straightend out from front to rear to equal out the front
rotor to the rear rotor. We are also going to elarge the runners some
so people that want to port can have extra material. Our machinist wont be back until april 1st so it will be a couple of months. Were designing these for our shop cars that run 30+ psi boost going to 35+ and hopefully the new manifold will stop the rear rotor leaning out do to
to much flow. Also we plan on running 4X1600 sceondaries so the injector rails will be setup accordingly. We are doing this for high boost
aplications and singles so no egr etc. Ralph

WOW Zero,, thats AMAZING!! beautiful work!! Can't wait to see torque numbers with that. What did you optimise it for? Just all out power? Runners are long, should make great torque.

I don't think that is a A-Spec manifold.

I believe it is... if I remember Sean posted a pic of that before while he was still in the build process, however, I may be wrong in which case I retract my statement

Ralph, do you have any guess on how much more power the intake manifold will make over the stock one? I was just wondering, because after reading a post about crispeed saying that the cosmo intake manifold makes 20-30(?)rwhp more, I was wondering if it was something that i'd have to invest in down the road. yes. is 12 injectors and 2x 65mm TB's. all hand made. this is the latest and greatest from pro-jay. in the works is Jay is dong some CRAZY **** that i cant even say at the momnent and this one pictured will be on a friends PP motor where 850hp on a 13B should be a walk in the park. it wont be a normal PP in the sence you may be thinking, even down to the spark plugs. thats about all i can say at this time without giving anything away. (not that many people out there could duplicate it even if they wanted to)

Zero R: does that manifold preclude the use of the factory secondary fuel rail? And on a related note, is the design to be used with two sets of secondaries?

Looks very intriguing! Nice work,

Is that designed for a 13B? Who sells it?
