Question custom downpipe

I installed a HKS T04R and greddy cast manifold in my 87 TII and im in the process of trying to figure out a downpipe for it i think im going to use the stock style RB downpipe and extend it to reach up to the new turbo...i bought some 3 inch steel bends to try and do this but it just looks like its gonna be really tricky trying to get it to fit up right does anyone have any tips on mocking this thing up

In sections and just tack weld it. Measure it up as best you can. I'm a lousy "how to" I know.
