Thing is when you comparing an RX-7 like crispeed's its going to really shine on the track like the RX-7 was intended to, not the drag strip. Although the rx7 does do some v.impressive times there have always been cars/ (engine) that are inherently better due to more power/torque in a drag. I for one would much rather see it on a track racing a FD-LS1 than up a drag strip. Absolutly wicked car BTW

The only thing that may delay the race will be the fact I have my first baby due 1 August so my free time will be limited.
ErnieT and I have agreed to race. We got a little heated a few months ago but now I think we will run them for the fun of it.
Regardless of who wins I think it will be a baddass race seeing 2 fast FD's side by side.

DEX needs to stop hating on the 685rwhp FD (and rotaries peroid)...especially when he drove a pink auto FD with a stock hood painted black.

I don't know who you are, but you are obviously not very intelligent. I already said above this was my DREAM car. Yes I drove a pink auto RX-7. Whoopie. Does that make me some less of a man or something? The pink auto part? I now have a red 6-speed car. So what? I was 17 years old and had 9K to spend. I still think it looked pretty cool. I should have LS1ed it a long time ago.

That was a lot of boost, what was that high thirties?, 37psi maybe more ?
and to the Ls1losers give up and start another thread just like you gave up on the rotory because you didnt have enough knowledge to make it faster and keep it together.. shows what a quiter you are..
I cant even look at those frankenstein 7's the sound is just plain nasty, but to each is own I guess... ILL

You mean why was I arrested? Because I did like 120 around a curve, ran off the road and killed 4 kids and 3 puppies.
Seriously though, it was just a joke. The guys I rode to the Deals Gap with asked the officer if he would arrest all of us and we could take pics. It was pretty cool.
