Lets see.
1) What is the name of this site?
Answer: RX7club.com
2) What kind of cars do us V8 converts own?
Answer: RX-7's
3) Since we converted to a V8, does that mean we hate the rotary and it's owners?
Answer: No
4) SO do the V8 converts belong on this site?
Answer: Yep.

Hope that explains things.

Yep. Ignorant comments will make people say things. I mean a 675 whp FD is amazing, and is awesome! But acting like it is the best thing since sliced bread is rediculous. Would I rather have it than a 1000 whp Mustang. Yep. Would it have any chance against that Mustang. Nope. Aren't there TONS of 700+ whp Camaros, Mustangs, Vipers, Supras, etc. Yep.

As for Rotorownsyou, it is evident that you are the "idiot" because your name doesn't match whats under your hood. Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out... Stop hating

Crispeed, its unfortunate that people will continue to come on here and hate on something that probably took a lot of time and effort to complete... Well, much more than bolting some up motor mounts from a kit and sticking a v8 dime a dozen engine inside and calling it a day.
Noone is criticizing. If you notice every V8 guy in this thread was commending the car untilll somebody had to say something stupid. I'm not a LS1 lover by no means, and I even defend the rotaries on LS1tech.com. I used to have a rotary a FD, and rotors did own people. Now the LS1 owns people. He said stop hating. Looks like you are the one "hating".

See what you fail to see is that people are praising it because A) it's not just motor, it's the hole package B) to most on this forum a very tastefully done 3rd gen is their dream car and to see one with such class and power is simply spectacular C) If you don't like the fact that people are praising this car and don't understand why then I detect maybe a hint of jealousy or maybe just plain old stupidity because any moron can see alot of workmanship and talent went into the building of this car and 700hp I believe warrants a little cockiness on his plate. Are there lots of v8 guys running that hp? yep but of course it's not hard and requires minimal talent and knowledge to get hp out of a gargantuan motor, thus most on this forum could care two ***** about the v8. Also the mustang, camaro, vipers and supras are all heavy *** cars that require more hp to win any sort of race in the quarter mile.

I will be down in Florida is about two months so YOU can get in line for YOUR beat down. I hate people who say, "My buddy's uncle's girlfriend's dad's 900HP Viper will own you......" Don't give me that. I know there are some cars in FL who would kill my RX7 and this 685 whp RX7 as well. That is fine, I just can't understand why you get on here talking smack when your car doesn't even run yet buddy. I normally don't pay attention to everyone smack talking but what you are saying is rediculous. Again I am not against LS1 swaps in RX7s, what I am against are people talking smack about someone's car when their own car doesn't even run yet. Have a nice day!

BTW Awesome setup Crispeed!

Thats why we put the V8 in the RX7....The advantages of the weight and looks along with the advantage of the more reliability and power...WIN WIN WIN

I am jealous. That car is MY DREAM CAR. If I could buy anything under 30K, that would be it. Hell anything under 70K other than a Supra. I have saw numerous comments on how it would be anything on the street, 99.9% of V8's (Seriously ) and is faster than 900 whp Supras and Vipers. Weight isn't making that much difference. Cockiness on his plate is fine, I don't know the owner and I am not saying anything about him. I am talking to the idiots in this thread saying ridiculous things.

Haha, I am sure that car is setup for the track... "Hey look guys, when I brake and downshift before going into a straightaway, it takes 4 seconds for the turbo to spool back up!"

Um, because I still own an Rx-7... This is still the Rx7club last time I checked. I had nothing negative to say about this car only about the sackriders who make ignorant comments about how it is the end-all, be-all street car. In fact, I'm very impressed with the car and am quite curious to see how well it will do.

lets try the shoe on the other foot...if i went on a corvette forum or camaro forum saying that im doing a 20b swap into one of their vehicles...i would get flamed a whole lot worse than your being treated on this forum...v8 guys would you really call those cars corvette or camaros anymore??? theres a mystic about certain cars of what should be under the hood...corvettes should have the v8 and a "rotary" experiment seven should have a rotary under the hood. im not knocking you guys but you have to know that this forum is probably a little more excepting than if we went over to the v8 forums talking about how great the rotary would be in one of their vehicles.

The medical term for it I believe is FD-REW>FD-LS1.
The chemical breakdown would be FD---Factory Defect/ REW-- Rotary Engine Waste>FD-****** Deformed/lLS1-Lead Sled #1

And I hope you guys dont take this seriously!
now that is funny

I ******* love you guys. This is a better source of laughs than the brainwashed idiots in struggling teens or a scientology forum.

Starting with a healthy (for profits for vendors) rivalry with v8s, its now turned into everyone thinking they're all in some sort of rotary posse, and v8s are 'the enemy' owned by mouth breathing troglodytes who invariably vote for bush and stick pushrods up their ***.... or something.

So then the minute someone makes high power they go OMG V8 KILLAR!!!! because clearly, beating a stock v8 by spending a shitload of money makes you a WINNAR!

Then the 'technical' discussion starts, with the kind of emotional outbursts you'd expect from a devout religious man after someone told him his particular savior and/or creator "was a fgt" or "an imaginary friend" ignoring the droves of factual information that litters the forum and an apparent inability to use the , until someone foolishly comes in and tries to defend their particular hunk of metal they like to use to turn a drive shaft, and then a huge flame war starts, full of emotion, bullshit, misinformation and sophistry.

All the people here who gets a giant stick up their *** about the rotary spirit or soul or whatever and if "we're not welcome" and gets mouth-foaming mad about v8s and just has to go out to "defeat" an assembly of metal parts are just a bunch of childish idiots trying to emulate sports fans who take it a little too far who have a total inability to look at facts, understand math and science, and get over an emotional attachment to two doritos spinning and wobbling around an offset eccentric shaft inside of two epitochroids.

Dear Rotards: GROW UP, or please give even more money to your favorite vendor so you wont be able to afford the internet and can spare us your ignorance and emotional nonsense, please?

nice car it looks so humble yet beautiful, I love the way it looks!
but... part of its being humble and unsuspecting is because I would never suspect over 450rwhp from an FD without rear flared fenders because I wouldnt think he could put more power to any use.

Thats obviously a highway racer. See, dragracing is for **** (who can actually get a launch, as you need a mullet to buy slicks and 15" rims, and because stalled autos r gey) and track racing gets brake duts on the rims

2 months should give me enough time. We'll get it on video. Not that it matters since it's lose/lose for me when it comes to most of you rotards. If you win (which you won't), I look stupid (but like I said, I'm not worried). When I win, everyone will just whine and complain that my motor is so much bigger, I used "NAWS", etc.

Tell them to go to a drag strip, problem solved - and they'll be the ones looking stupid.

Oh yea, one more thing. It must be nice having a lot of money so you can pay people to do all of the work on your car. Try doing EVERYTHING yourself bud.

1. I admire you for building your FD by yourself. You don't see many 500 rwhp FDs. Did you build the motor too?

2. Although in the past I had Mazsport do all my work, I am doing considerably more work on the car with the LS1 swap. I have a local friend who has done 2 other swaps, so working on mine will be the third. We are working on it every Friday and some weeknights when time permits.

if i had the money to have someone build my car just the way i wanted it and at the same time having someone that i know that has done it before, uses professional tools and does amazing work - i would have no problem paying them to work on my car for me.

if it meant me skipping through all the hassles, etc. i would. i love driving my car more than i love working on it.

Ok, I am done fighting. You are right, if I had the money I would probably have a shop do atleast some of the work on my car. Pianoprodigy - good luck on your build up and we will definately have to run them for fun one day in the future. I do respect nicely done LS1 conversions. My point wasn't to put your car down, I was debating what people were saying about how this 685whp RX7 will own everything. Sure there are always faster cars out there but prolly not too many. Anyway good luck on your conversion, hopefully everything goes smoothly.
