There was a thread not so long ago about xs engineering you should try to look it up.A lot of people weren't to happy with service.

If you want to go to a HKS pro dealer you could also try sp engineering (626)333-5398 they do some bad *** work, it will not be too cheap but they will give you a better price.

The Turbo's I am looking at are Garret Dual BB water cooled GT Turbos. The only difference between those, and the one you have(based on past history) is there may be a special trim on the HKS unit. In this case the compressor bell is also unique. I wonder if it is a form of anti surge, or just a way to produce some crazy whistling sound. HKS is a good marketing comp[any, and the bell may just be a bit of that. The Turbonetics uses a single ceramic bearing. I used to hear about alot of failures with these.I have not heard of a T'Netics Ceramic bearing failure in a long time, either they fixed the problem or no one is using them on the forums anymore. Carl

As for DP, fuel rails, IC piping etc, these things are priced the way they are because vendors have found that people will pay silly amounts of money for simple parts requiring a modest amount of materials, only because they lack the ability/tools/resouces to source or make their own. This is capitalism, 400.00 is a fair market price for a custom 4" stainless DP, but you are paying for the three things I mentioned above not the material. take Fuel rails, they are less than 10.00 worth of blank rail, a tap, a drill press, and knowledge of the bore size, yet nobody blinks at paying 300.00 for them. So, you have to pay to play, but the really wild set-ups are usually fabricated in house, to farm them out would quadruple the cost of the project. Carl

is the exhaust housing that they are advertising just your typical divided turbine housing with a v band... if thats the case then rotaryextreme can help most people out the downpipe since he offers to4r kits on his site

DIYMAN25 is not welcome at HKS and he knows it.

After that whole ordeal with the T04R (https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...7&page=2&pp=30) , you are threatening to come back to bitch again if something does not go your way? You weren't even allowed to come in the front door without announcing yourself, let alone go in without an appointment. You just ran into through the lobby door after one of our dealers left the building. If you want proof, there is video.

HKS normally does not allow the general public indoors unless they are announced and have an appointment. I would say that it is customary at any business practice that is not generally open to the public.

I apologize for going out of sequence and out of topic for everyone on this thread. But please becareful because this guy is shady. Do not take DIYMAN25's posts, word for word because he does not tell the full story.
