Question Wheres the cheapest place to buy a garret 35/40 kit

Wheres the cheapest place to buy that kit?

rx7 store shows 3900 on their website.

Unless someone thinks I should look towards a different turbo for a mostly street driven car.

bi-state customs seem to have a pretty good deal going on a single turbo set-up. Check under the classifieds section for vendors/groupbuys.

I bought mine before all the us stores were selling the kit so I got it for a bit less. You could try horsepowerinabox.com but I think the prices went up. Might as well buy from Jason or A-spec.

While 540 rwhp does sound really nice, 4250rpm is a long time to wait for full spool when the 35/40 can get there much faster. I know it won't put down those kinds of numbers, but still. What kind of engine porting was done to the car that spooled the SR turbo at 4250?? If it was a stock or streetport then I would be willing to bet that you could spool a good bit faster with a half bp or a full out bridge port. Any info on that question?? Thanx in advance.

Those were SR Motorsports claimed hp numbers...Nobody believes them. There is one around here that made 445 rwhp @ 17 psi on pump gas. The set up makes very good power and seems to spool quicker than the T-78's. It's a great buy and you will have an honest 10 second car.

ErnieT obtained over 520RWHP at 20PSI with a stock motor and stock ignition. That turbo hits 15PSI at about 3700RPM, it spools about the same as stock twins with full 3" exhaust and intake running non-sequential. Not nearly as quick as the GT35/40, but it will make more power too.
