Change insert on HKS BOV?

Hey, I recently bought a HKS SSQV bov for my fc. I'm not super crazy about the sound of it and I am considering changing to the purple insert. Is the insert hard to change or even worth doing? I can't find anything about installing them, just prices and stuff. Any info would be great. Thanks

you can find directions easily by searching google. Changing the insert is cake, you remove the front allen bolts that hold the cover on, it slides off, change and reinsert new bov.

In my opinion, either way they dont sound good though

Throw the thing in the trash and buy a turbo xs rfl?

When i was in my ricer (omg i has a turbo) stage i felt the need to have that annoying whistle every time i let off the gas in boost. It got OLD quick. I removed the insert, threw it in the trash and never looked back.

IIRC you undo all the bolts at the front and that cover should slide right off. That is if it's an ssqv v2. ssqv v1's didn't have that **** and looked like *** and i never owned or looked at an ssqv v3.

It's the ssqv v3. I hate the whistle. I'm considering changing it to a recriculation to eliminate as much noise as posible but the same process is involved.
