The leaking oil is probably dripping onto your manifold and or hot pre-cat.

Check your PCV valve. If you have gone single it is likely you have capped one of your PCV lines, leaving only the PCV valve to vent crankcase pressure. If you also did the 95 PCV valve removal then you have no crankcase ventilation and as the pressure builds it forces oil out of the turbo and you get alot of smoke. I am an expert on this subject because I learned this the hard way - I did it myself. I actually took my car 300 miles to a "reputable" rx-7 mechanic and had him look at it pointing out all of the stuff I did and he couldnt figure it out. I had to drive it home and spend some time on the manual and this forum to figure it out.

So the question is have you done the 95 PCV valve removal?

I only have the PCV valve hooked into my throttle body from my oil filler cap. I have all block off plates from K2RD AWS, etc.......

I think that is what you are talking about.

I had the same problem with my car with a T78. Would idle fine until it warmed up... the would start puffing blue smoke. It turned out to be the turbo needed a rebuild. If it is the turbo... After you get it fixed I would put a good oil pressure gauge on the car and make sure that you are getting proper oil pressure because lack of sufficient pressure is what caused mine to go bad in the first place.

Yep...check that valve. An easy test would be to idle the car without the oil cap. If the cap is off there is no way to build crankcase pressure.

If it stops with the cap off check/replace the PCV valve - it is most likely stuck.

If you still have the same problem with the cap off then I would want to know how old is the turbo, what size oil feed and return to it, if you have a restrictor pill in the oil feed, and did you change something to make this happen or it just started one day.
