Can my car get into the 11's?
I was wondering if any of you with drag racing experience could tell me if I could get my car into the 11's? I have a 93 touring with
Streetport from Atkins
XS T04E single turbo
ACT Clutch kit
RS Akimoto Intercooler ( came with the car )
Stock primaries 1300 secondaries
Competition Fuel Pump
PFC and Commander
AVC-R Boost Control
Full exhaust ( no emissions in ND )
That's about everything that should matter. So can I or can't I? I still need to get it tuned and I want to get it on a dyno. Thanks

My guess if you haven't been to the track before, you'll run mid 13's your first pass... (i did) after that you'll get better...I doubt you will see 11's your first trip to the track. I went 12.2 @ 114Mph my first day (after 12 passes). Stock motor, GT35/40, 15psi.
You should anticipate to run out of Injector at about 14-15psi running the 550/1300 combo though. I see 1600 secondaries or 850 primaries in your future if you want to go beyond 15 - 16psi.
The second time I went to the track (on street tires) with new motor, I went 12.1 @ 124Mph with a nice sucky 2.4 60'
It takes practice, before I went the first time I said to myself, **** I'm a good driver, 11's will be easy with a 380rwhp car...oops, I was wrong...

be prepared to break stuff. my best time on street tires in my car was 13.0 @ 116. when i switch to drag radials i ran 12.0 @ 117.6. expect to break axles, the differential, ppf, if you want to drag race alot. i will never again drag race on street tires. it sucks so bad ! lol

Dude you have enough mods to run low 11's. You can run 11's with those mods and the stock twins
If you know how to drive.....which is what everyone else is saying.
Hell I ran 12.3 @ 113 with intake, full exhaust, and a PFC running the untuned base map at 12-13psi of boost. The rest of the car was absolutly stock including the engine and seq turbos.
The key to drag racing and getting a good ET is traction, you'll never hit 11's with you mods list and street tires unless you've been doing it a while. Get some Drag Radials.
Good Luck,
STEPHEN

If you have 350rwhp and a nice dyno curve which you do with the T04e then CARTEST2000 say you have high 11s and 121mph if your car can lauch good.
My car.
14psi boost.
330 lbs torque at 5k rpms.
rwhp rpm
053 - 2.5
084 - 3.0
137 - 3.5
212 - 4.0
260 - 4.5
300 - 5.0
330 - 5.5
345 - 6.0
340 - 6.5
325 - 7.0
CARTEST2000 simulates it at high 11s - low 12s 121mph at 14psi.
124 mph at 21psi.
Not as good as I had hoped but Dave said with the water injection it should be bullet-proof. Dave does not tune at the ragged edge.

Thanks for writing back guys. I ran it on the track last summer. It was only the 1/8 th mile. I had good reaction times but my 60' marks were like 2.4 to 2.6. I had hard time getting good traction. I ended up getting second because I broke out my ET on my last run. It's hard to say what my best run was because I had to break on almost every run so I made sure not to break out. The run that I broke out on was a 9.0 flat. I was dialed in at 9.15. I was only running 12 psi and my car is running really rich. Because I am unable to get it to a good tuner since I live in ND. Thanks for your imput.

You can knock a second off your 1/4 mile by running a good 60 foot time....hell maybe even more!!!!

That simulator you have is nice, but throw it out!! At 14psi your not going to come near 121mph, try around 115mph.....You 1/4 estimates are close though. And why didn't your car make any power?? 325rwhp at 7000rpm??? Good lord, Im happy Dave doesn't tune my car anymore.... You should be putting down alot more at that boost level especially with the water injection cooling the intake charge temps.
