Can anyone help me with this TO4?
OK, I bought a TO4 on ebay knowing nothing about, his description gave no mesurements or anything.
Any it got here, and the compressor houseing says .60 AR, and it has a 4" TID, and a 2" outlet.
The exhaust side is WAYYYYY bigger than what I wanted, but it says 1.15 AR on it. And it is tang divided. And the DP is a V-band and the turbine wheel measures about 2.25-2.5 in diamiter, or the part you can see.
Does anyone know the compressor trim? Is it a 60-1?
Also it is an airesearch turbo.
And another thing that is wrong with it, is that it doesn't spin freely, it is acctualy pretty hard to turn, I put oil, in it hopeing it just needed lubed, but that didn't help. It has nearly no shaft play, it acctualy feels brand new. But I put a shop vac on the DP part, and it barly blew any air from the compressor outlet. Does anyone have any guess to why that is?

I dont think its a 60-1 compressor because im pretty sure that all 60-1's have a .70 front cover.
Maybe its to4e? ive seen a few of them with 4 inch inlets. Never seen a to4b with a 4 inch inlet.

Yeah, a correct on my measurement.
The TID is a 3", which probably just makes it a TO4B I guess.
Jesus, that 1.15 AR exhaust is going to suck on my 7MGTE.
lag lag lag lag, boossttttttttt..........

Yeah, most people suggest nothing bigger than a .70 for street driveing.
But my brother mapped the turbo with the bore, stroke, and # of cylinders of the 7M, and it said that it would be spooled by 3500 RPM's, and would still be climbing at 7500 RPM's. And that it was good for 450+HP.
Also I believe after everything I have read and been told that it is a TO4E with a P trim exhaust wheel and a 60-1 compressor houseing trim.
Good deal for $125 bucks

it sounds like the to4a-25, it's an agricultural turbo, with a 1.15 turbine side and a .60 compressor side, the scroll it's self is not that much bigger then a t03 super 60 compressor. Switzer made a copy of the turbo as well it was so popular with the agri industry. you can replace the 1.15 with an .83 or .85 can't remember which..

the 1.15 is bigger, but I've got a .96, and it's at 15lb by 3800rpm. Granted, it's the HiFi, but I wouldn't worry about the lag, lag, lag comments--it's not really that bad.

Humm well I thought I would just post a picture of the turbo, just because I got my 50MM HKS wastegate. And I was purely amazed at how big the wastegate is. I'm gonna have a dump tube as big as some people's exhaust
