BW EFR 9180 for a 500-600hk 20b?
BW EFR 9180 for a 500-600hk 20b?
I just noticed that this turbo is avalible with a stainless v-band ar 1.0 turbine housing that seems perfect for a 20b sinve the problem with building a twin scroll manifold, just doing a 3-1 collector with a v-band flange seems super easy.
Do you guys think the turbine will flow enough for a streetport 20b or will it choke the bad boy? This is a timeattack car more then a drag car and it is also used on the streets.

i agree w the OP and Arca/rx72c.
a 20B can do 50% more than a 2 rotor so it will do 900 if set up like a 600 BREW. IF you were building a drag car you would want a 120 pound turbo to end up w 900.
the 9180 is more like a 94 pound turbo so it better fits your time attack config.
i also like the V band since you have 3 not 2 exhaust pulses.
looks like a winner.

Just an FYI that turbine housing uses a 3 inch flat face flange. One should slide the tubing in and up a little bit to make it stepped. Weld with housing clamped to flange. We sell this combo too: http://www.turbosource.com/Borg-Warner-EFR-9180-p/ts1-03-9180.htm

I will order one in right now and get pictures etc. I do know its a stainless housing that has been tested on methanol powered cars with 2000 degree EGTS.
Also guys the T4 IWG 9180 housings are available. We have those en route to us too..
