Borg warner efr 9180 exhaust housing

So i currently have a t3 undivided .82 ar. exhaust housing on my turbo. I have been trying to source out the t4 divided 1.05 housing as i all ready have a t4 divided manifold.

so question. will the turbo be choked off too much to run the t3 on a stock port motor with less than 18psi ?

or should i get a T3/t4 adapter and run it as is?

or sell the turbo for tons of money because no one has their hands on one yet?

You should trade it to your local rotary friend for some parts!

BTW are you 100% sure you have the 9180? Whats the parts tag say in it? Post up a pic!

This is going to be a great turbo for guys that are size limited to class rules.

So far I've called full race (most helpful). speed for sale ( pissed off because bw won't supply orders and they have to refund customers). turbo source. treadstone. and bwdealer. out of all those people who advertise the bw. turbo only full.race has actually touched one lol.

I personally would want to run it as you have it with the T4 to T3 adapter.

I think your relatively long runner exhaust manifold is going to work well using the uncollected T3 turbine entry as the collector for the exhaust runners.

Then again, I would rather have a very responsive turbo versus all out power and would have gone a size down on the turbo.

Thats impressive, the 9180 is almost non-existent. Wonder which distributor it came from originally.

SFS made the mistake of taking deposits. Bad idea with these turbos.

I agree, the long runners will work fairly well with the undivided T3 inlet. Getting a new housing this point is near impossible, so I would keep what you have and make it work.
