Question + Boost... Same WHP

Just wondering if any of you has been through this problem and what would be the root cause...

Engine would produce 467 whp at 21 psi, and the same 467 whp at 30 psi... (no proportional increase of whp is seen as boost increase…)

Bad turbo? Bad seals? …. Anyone with ideas, feedback or experience with this problem please welcome?!!! ...

What kind of turbo? If your maxing out the turbo maybe times you can get it to make more boost it just heats the air and doesnt make any more power. You can also have a boost leak that is small enough to achieve boost, even high levels of boost, but the turbo is over spooling to compensate for the leak. It will make more pressure, but the air will be so hot that it does no good. I've seen issues like that numerous times. Happened to me one time when a coupling was ripped.

I saw this happen this winter. The problem ended up being bad spark plugs. They looked great but they were bad. It didn't miss at all, it just wouldn't make anymore power past 20 psi. It was really weird and suprised everyone.

New plugs fixed the problem.

Oh yea, I also knew a guy years ago that kept turning the boost up and up and it didnt make anymore power because his rear diff was bad. He had the stock fd diff

Is it possible the clutch is slipping?

I really have no idea, just guessing.

leak or spark could be, I wouldn't point on the diff, clutch, exhaust and turbo size... it is a turbonetics T70 with 3" HKS exhaust...

I will double check on leaks and change sparks...

No one pointing or experienced the problem due to engine apex seals?

...thx !!!...

If the car is running and starting and producing over 400whp, I highly doubt the apex seals are what is causing it to not make more then 467.

Definetly not the apex seals.

The problem isn't the apex seals.........

Change your oil, see if there is any copper in there.
