Question Boost issues

hey guys heres the original link, thought maybe i could get some additional
info in here.

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/wastegate-question-899528/

heres the basic story

had stock FC turbo controlled with the apexi avcr boosting a clean 15psi

i swapped the turbo for a 60-1 w/82ar Ptrim
with the 15lbs WG spring it was making 15psi quick
but i wanted to control from 5 up, so swapped out the 15lbs spring for the 5lbs

buut now it wont make over 11 psi, even with the controller set to 2.0BAR at 80%
duty cycle

also sometimes when i plug my screen/controller in, the avcr solinoid pulses
(like a starter with a deadish battery)

any help would be great

Thanks

Change to a 10 PSi spring. The general rule is you can only double your pressure off your wastegate spring with a boost controller. Of course its not an exact number and just a ballpark. If the reason for having such low boost was for tuning that range more accurately, then do that before changing springs obviously.
