Boost control setup
Setting up my 8374 iwg turbo setup and trying to sort through the wiring the previous owner of my car messed with. There was a Greddy boost control plugged into this gm 3 bar map sensor previously, and profec b inside the cabin. I am wanting to get rid of all of this junk, where should I begin? Does this wiring look ok? I know the efr's have the boost control integrated, so in the long term I want to get rid of all the junk the previous owner installed with his junk turbo kit.

The EFR comes with a boost control solenoid, but not any sensors or controller, so you will be keeping the Profec. It sounds like you have the GM sensor connected to the Profec instead of using the Profec's sensor. If that setup works, you should consider keeping it, or just redoing the wiring harness. If someone else debugged it already, you can just piggyback on their work.
Otherwise, get the Profec as close to a "stock" installation as possible based on the Profec manual.

I misspoke in the first post should've said boost control solenoid is integrated in the efr. I see now. http://www.turbos.borgwarner.com/fil...ical_brief.pdf (pg 62) This will eliminate only my greddy boost control valve, yes?

The Profec is set for a Denso MAP sensor. You can't plug it into a GM/Delphi unit and have it read correctly. What ECU do you run? Have you considered controlling boost with That?

You can run a power FC with a Greddy sensor or GM. A GM sensor needs to have the right plug to work. But Banzai Racing sells the sensor with an adapter harness. Did he plug the GM sensor into the Greddy profec by accident, when he meant to plug into a stock harness and use it for the ECU?
Stock plug and Greddy plugs are the same for the sensor and the solenoid, if I remember correctly. So it could have gotten mixed up.

Before we figure that out, did he cut the Harness? You need the factory precontrol or wastegate plug to control boost with a PFC. That connects to the EFR solenoid. You can buy a solenoid side plug that goes into the factory connector or into a Greddy, so that leaves you with options.
GM 3 bar goes to stock MAP Sensor wires. So does the GM 3 bar mate directly with the factory harness plug due to having a mating connector spliced in?

I found a plug underneath the UIM. Not sure if it is the precontrol or wastegate plug as it does not have a white mark on top, go figure. so this is the plug I'll need to plug into the efr solenoid (once I get the correct plug and splice it into the supplied efr pigtail? see pic
Regarding the GM 3 bar that is currently installed, no he did not use an adapter plug, he apparently used a gm plug and wires, cut the wires, and spliced/crimped into the factory map sensor harness as seen in the pic a few posts back.
Also just found an oem Mazda boost sensor in a box of parts if that would be useful/easier.

With the GM 3 Bar is connected to the stock MAP sensor harness you should be good to go. You need a Power FC Datalogit for this to work though. You need to set the MAP sensor voltage scaling in it and it is much easier to tune boost control with it.

Awesome. Thanks. I will order that pigtail/harness and splice to the efr solenoid. I will let my tuner do the rest. I am probably going to let him go through the rest of my harness anyway, as well as other things, PO of this car made a real mess and some of this is going over my head/expertise.
*Edit May try to source a datalogit too, even though I'm not tuning it. May want to play around with some settings after the fact.

The wastegate control plug is the one with a blue wire with white stripe. Just make sure you look at it really careful as the precontrol one is blue with a yellow stripe. I had to look below the wire cover to see the color as the heat really distorts the color on the part of the wire that's exposed. Both share a common ground of black with white stripe.

I would think the sequential setting was likely turned off as this car already had a single turbo and a pfc when I bought it, unfortunately I have no datalogit to make sure. Colors are faded but I'm pretty certain its a brownish wire with a blue tracer and black wire with white tracer going to the plug in the above pic. Guess the other plug was cut, there is a green plug nearby, then a black two pole just like this one down by the power steering reservoir with nothing plugged in, but theres no way it could reach the solenoids under the uim.
