Which is better to turbo?

I heard that it is a waste of money to turbo a 6 port and is better to turbo a 4 port. Does anybody feel like expressing their feelings on this? I havea 6 port and wanted to go turbo but I heard i would be wasting my money. Anybody with opinions?

4 port engines are more suited to it. the intake design and port layout is more friendly to FI.

it depends on your budget, dedication and goals. as Gitarjunkie28 said, the 4-port is better suited for it, but that's not to say that you can't build a great turbo car around your 6-port. for someone to say turbocharging your 6-port is a "waste of time" is just asinine.

Well I believe that turbo'ing a 6 port motor is a waste of time....but thats my preference.
The 6 port N/A irons wave a weaker casting and will break once you start to make power. Running 5psi boost and making like 200hp just isnt worth it.....

But hey, thats just my opinion.

the 6-port motors close too late. too much port timing for a turbo car.

it all depends on what you want. "better" to one guy is **** to someone else.

the one thing i will say, though, is rotaries go through a LOT of air!! that in and of itself lends the motor to turbocharging very nicely.
