Neither. Go triple turbo, it's the only way to be sure.

It's doesn't matter what peak hp number you get on the dyno. I see many people begin their projects with a goal like 400hp or 1000hp. I have also seen many people selling their projects because the car was a pain to drive. If you're building a car for nothing but drag racing then maybe a peak hp goal is reasonable but if you plan to drive the car on the street you need to consider low end power. The stock twins were engineered to produce a wide power band and they are the best setup for a daily driven car. The stock ports will also provide great low end power. If you want to shift the power band up by porting and adding a huge turbo then the car will be slower to drive at low rpms. What are your goals and expectations?

Go single. Twins, give you some more usable power below 4k RPM. Single makes more power and if you don't get a huge turbo is fun to drive on the street too.
