Best turbo on stock ports?
I'm wondering what turbo everyone would suggest as being the best turbo for a street and track driven car on stock ports. And what type of power you have seen. Im considering the ax7582 from apexi, but im open to suggestions. Thanks
what motor, 13bt or 13bre
I have a JDM 91 13bt, stock ports, Im running a 1.15 P trim to4 (check ebay for them, new for $400) I plan to add a 60-1 compressor wheel.
I was told by a few people that this specific turbo would work well on stock ports.
HITMAN, a pinical of rotary tuning, suggests this exact turbo for a wide variety of engine combinations.
direct quote from hitmans site.
"If you really want some more power from your 13B engine , then the best way of doing it is to install a larger turbo. A good sized T04 turbo will add incredible amounts of power , and added reliability through reduced heat load. Look for a T04 with a P-Trim exhaust and 1.0 or 1.15 A/R , and a 60-1 compressor in an A/R 0.70 cover. Running the same amount of boost you "should expect around 30% gains in power !
