Upgrading your stock compressor will give you more power!..no need for standalone comp just more fuel and maybe fuel comp to make sure everything is safe. I will be doing this to my 87TII.

A T04 is always a good choice. A friend of mine has the HKS kit on his 90 TII and he's very happy with it. You can get it for about $2000-2200. Going custom may be cheaper, but if you're not sure of yourself a kit may be better.

I was thinking TO4 too . I went to the XS Engineering site today to check out the turbos they had. So far I've only seen two that interest me, the TO4E and the TO4S. I know with the TO4S you could produce more HP, but will it have really good response?, spool up faster? have big top end?............can someone please tell me the differences between these two turbos?

I want a turbo that will have good response, spool up fairly quick, and have big top end.My goal is around 350HP@ the wheels, and not exceed 400RWHP.......at around 10-12PSI, maybe on pump gas, heh. Im looking for a street setup and reliability.

thanks,
Project RX-7

I came up with these dyno curves and some software simulation drag times you might find interesting. TT = the stock dyno graph in the October 2001 Turbo mag article. T78 is the dyno graph from the same article. t04e is from the xs-engineering web site and the t04s is from the same web site. The 350tt is from a member that has a highly modded stock twin turbo with a 350RWHP peak.

Myt04e is the estimated dyno sheet with my mods. Dave at KDR and Tri at XS-Engineering say this is about what I can expect. Please remember the software simulation is a relative comparision. Everything is optimum so the times are unrealistically low.

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY "THANX FOR THE REPLY". I for one and many others also like to assist other RX-7 owners. If I and others can be of help we are pleased I'm sure. It is so NICE to see someone say THANX. That makes it so worthwhile. I'm sure many others feel as I do. It's really gratifiying to get a "thank you".
