ball bearing turbo question

how manny miles thoes a ball bearing turbo last? more that a regular bearing turbo?thanks

It would depend on a few factors. Some of them are how much boost will you be running? Is that amount of boost within the particular turbos effciency range? Also is the turbo water and oil cooled or just oil cooled? Even conditions such as type of oil used and use of upgraded oil coolers can impact how long a turbo will last. A general yes or no wont answer your question without knowing many other factors and variables. Any turbo can fail early due to defects or foreign material getting into it. As a general rule your turbo will last longer than your motor when your adding a turbo that makes 500+HP to a motor designed to make 255.
