are axcels a necessity???

i know the lsd is, but what are my chances of breaking axcels??? I live about 75-80 miles from the nearest 1/4 so it wouldnt be smart to break a axcel. I making 425 rwhp and want to luanch at 6-7k rpms on mt slicks. I will soon have a kaaz 1.5 way and a boost controler(anybody got a t-78 without a boost/c?) if I dont have a one buy the time I have a kaaz I gues I will be running the 1/4 at 10 psi. I would have posted in the rp section but theres a lack of traffic. i dont think I should have wheel hop with the slicks. Do you guys think I will break a axcel??? i have a friend that is willing to toe my car down there, but its a streetcar.

I broke an axel about a month ago with a similar set up as you. I also have the Kaaz. So, the answer to your question is yes, you need better axels. You may not break them, but there is a good chance that you will.

you can still break the 300m axles pretty easily. the 300m axles also have less flex than stock so they'll shock other driveline parts. this could cause other parts to break. if you're gonna launch that high on slicks, you should have a trailer to tow it home in just as a precaution. otherwise, you just gotta take easier launches and don't use slicks.

Thumbs up

Ari at RX7.com has an awesome set of new axles. The quality and craftsmanship is outstanding.

what about 5k rpms??? theres no way I could luanch this car on a street tire. Even if I luanched at 10 psi.
So what about 5k rpms@10psi , after 60ft go 15psi??? i would upgrade the "AXLES"
