safe luanches

What is it like to luanch with slicks and 1.5 way lsd, and race axcels with about 450 rwhp( luanching at about 6k)??? how often does the car get out of controll??? How often do break things??? Im just curious, I see the v8's at the track get out of controll all the time just wondering if its diff for a fd.. I was having trouble keeping the car in controll when i hit 2nd at the track with my last fd. All I had was full exhuast and pfc running about 12 1/2 psi..

I almost hit the wall when I ran with slicks for the first time. All I have to say is make sure to have enough pressure in them to make you go straight. Its a great feeling launching with slick for the first time but also heading for the wall right after that ruins the good feeling. So far nothing has broke and im running a stock rear.

ive got 26x10inch slicks on the standard rims and ran about 15psi in them. was getting mid to high 1.5 sec 60 footers off about a 6-7000 rpm launch. ive got a standard drive train except for my clutch and have broken a input shaft and a diff but i would put that down to the wrong launching style. next time try lowereing your front trye pressure to about 20 psi and that should help the car sway in a staight line.
