Question apexi RX6 kits for sale...

Has anyone else noticed that there is a bunch of people selling thier rx6 turbine kits at the same time. Why? Did I miss a memo? I have heard nothing but great things. Opinions welcome.

Someone (not me) got a new RX6 kit on eBay for around $1500 a few days ago. Search on the completed auctions if you're curious. It does seem like they're popping up recently...

Well they are not rebuildable (according to Max).
The price just shot up, so that makes it easier to sell with little loss.
I think the GT35/40 is der better bang 4duh buck.

I think, maybe.

him

me

can u include the boost and oil temperature guage, also do u have paypal, i can paypal u the money right away. i can do postal money order, but it will be until monday. call me at ???? thanks

him

Yes gauges included, Lets aim for Monday morning, E-Mail me ASAP.

me

dude i''m a little worried, these are great prices, do u have any references other than your feedback on ebay? i'm a little worried about sending 2k to a total stranger. plz don't take this the wrong way, i just do not want to get burn on this.

him

You will not get burned! I am sorry for your discomfort. If you change your mind, e-mail me ASAP.

me

still interested, will u accept a certified bank check instead of a postal money order, this is safe for both of us

him

Postal Money Orders only at this time only. Thank you.

me

before i get the postal service money order, can u provide your name, address and phone number? u can also call me at ????? if u prefer.

thanks

him

Can you send payment today via NEXT DAY AIR?

me

not really, i would have to go to the bank and take the money out, then go to the post office and purchase the money orders. very time consuming. like i said before i'm willing to pay $2000 for everything that was advertised on ebay. if u really need the cash fast i can call my bank and they can wire u the money into your bank account.

him

I prefer you send out today via NEXT DAY AIR USPS, Postal Money Orders, that way I can send out by tomorrow afternoon.

me

why so fast, i still need your name address and phone # before i send out the money order

him

Well I am leaving town Sunday morning, Wanted to get shipped by Saturday afternoon. Please e-mail me ASAP.

me

dude i'm gonna pass on this one, i needed some solid proof that i going to get this kit, so far u have not provided your name, address or phone number, i gave u both of my numbers and u have not contacted me. the only way i would buy this from u is with an escrow service or paypal. by the way i already have this kit

SEE HOW HE KEEPS ASKING ME TO SEND THE MONEY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, HE NEVER GAVE HIS NAME ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER.
P.S. I REMOVED MY TELEPHONE NUMBER WHERE U SEE ???

I thought that the auction listing looked suspicious-- I'm glad you guys didn't get burned. Hey, if he relists, you should pose as a buyer from Nigeria, who will gladly pay him $5000, if he will only assist you with moving some money out of Nigeria ;-)

Remember that guy selling an intercooler etc. a few months ago TO MORE THAT ONE PERSON!. Next day air, ship it out tomorrow etc. this ring a bell? He was in Denver and when I said that I'd have my Bro pick it up he never Emailed me back.
I really think that there should be a rule in the for sale section that as soon as someone buys a part they should post"I bought it" to try to curb some of this activity.

I totally agree with you there ... that way there's some closure to the sales. Also, if it's a single item, the mods can delete the thread and save some space ...

Yeah Donovan, I remember that, he said his name was Tim Worely and I was one of the people that sent the money for the intercooler, luckily I got mine back though. Anyways, that guy selling that kit sounds just like him, to a T, weird. Hopefully no one sends this guy anything,

I did alot of research last night on that guy on eBay that sold a complete brand new kit for $1500, I am 99.9% its a fraud and it seems to me that its very possible that ****** Tim Worely again, back at it. I seriously suggest to stay away.

Well, I hope that guy isn't a fraud. A friend of mine just told me he bought that kit.

Oh well, buyer beware on someone with no feedback, or bad feedback as he has.

I'll let you guys know, I don't know if the buyer has a Forum account yet. He just got his car.

Good Christ, It's gotta be a scam.
Some one needs to notify Ebay NOW. Email Ebay the old thread if it can be found. They really do look into things as much as possible as they have a rep to keep to.
Buttholes like this ruin everything for everybody. The good thing is if he messes with Ebay they WILL track him down.

Only one problem with that I've seen people many times post "sold" in a sellers post without the sale being confirmed. Too many idiots on this forum?

For instance I had someone send me an offer for a part and before I even accepted the offer or any money was paid he felt the need to write "sold" in my post within a matter or minutes. Then when I didn't want to except his offer and wanted more $$ for the item he wanted no parts of it.

I hate scammers as much as the next guy but I don't think this is the answer.

I really think the best way to protect yourself is don't buy anything that's too good to be true(scammers usually have rock bottom prices because they want lots of people to be interested and people willing to send money quickly) also get all their info and if you feel uncomfortable than have them ship cod.
