Apexi AX75F92 Dyno Numbers

Here are some numbers for the Apexi turbo. Runs were done at 15 lbs of boost and A/F in the high 10's.

This car has ported motor, FMIC, Power FC, Twin Power, 850cc/1600cc blah blah

These runs are straight Mustang Dyno numbers with no adjustment to the settings. You can figureout what it would do on a dynojet.

Hmmm, that's about right.
I think the target numbers are about 500hp at the wheels on pump gas.
So those are pretty reasonable.

Yeah, on "pump gas".
It was posted in one of the Options magazines a few months back.
The 13B-REW was targetted to hit "500ps" at 1.3 kg/cm^2.

Keep in mind ps isn't the same as RWHP. A stock FD is quoted to have 280ps so it's closer to the horsepower at the crank.

Jason, how long did it take to get that turbo? Can you get another one anytime soon?

If you add 12%- 15% that's around 447rwhp on a dyno jet. That pretty good at 15lbs of boost.

If you just put it on a Dynojet, you'd have a solid answer there.

Seat of the pants it is well over 400HP. Mustang Dynos vary in numbers but its usually between 10-15% more on a Dynojet.

When I got this kit it was the only one in the states at the time. I can see if they have recieved another.

So for clarification, is the turbo an AX75F82 or an AX75F92?? That would make quite a difference in price I would think.

The AX75F92 should be putting out close to 500 at the rears.
The 82s 450rwhp.

By the way, Jason, why did you stop the pull at 7,500rpm if it was still pulling strong? Hit it to 9,000rpm and get back to us

Jason, we're still waiting to hear back from you for sure on whether the turbo in question is an AX75F82 or an AX75F92. Thanks in advance.

What makes you question his thread title? It clearly states AX75F"82"

The turbo is the 92. The car pulls very hard for 15psi. We had it out the other day on the freeway and it pulls hard to 8K. It spools fast aswell!

But to answer your question, the turbo is not the 82. It is the larger 92.

I was mistaken, its the 92. I didnt look at the turbo closely when I got it and thought it was the 82.

I stand corrected.
The 92 is rated at 730ps. 389 rwhp is extremely low.
Isnt the Apexi drift car making 500 atw with stock ports?

The apexi drift car has the larger turbo (whatever number it is??) and its probably modified or customized beyond that anyway.

389HP on a mustang is around 425 on a dynojet and that is at 15 lbs on pump gas. Those are pretty good numbers. I would be very suprised if the Apexi car is making 500 atw. If so its on race gas and over 20lbs of boost.

So is this thing ball bearing or not? We all have been discussing this in that other infamous thread with no solid conclusion. What's the scoop Jason? Inquiring minds want to know
