hi i installed my boost controller today and the only thing that is working are the lights behind the buttons. i got it used so i hooked it up to the battery first to make sure it would power on. everything worked when i did that so i decided to wire it up, now the screen isnt working. i called apex and they said i probably shorted the screen out. would it matter if i hooked it to the battery? its 12 volts no matter if its the battery or wired in. also wouldnt it fry it right when i hooked it up if it was to many volts, it worked just fine until disconected from the battery. any suggestions would be great.
