heard nothing but good things about masterpower. I have a mp t61 but don't have it up and running yet. jrat on the forum has a t61 (not masterpower) and he makes 11.5 on stock ports and alky injection. Bdc on the forum has a t70 as well as slammed7 ....maybe he has the mp gt45 not sure. anyways they are good turbos for the price. Talk to bobybeach on the forum. He is from new zealand and is a masterpower dealer so he knows all about them. Good luck

edit: this guy has one on an fd https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=295

thats correct the mp t64 is more expensive then the t61 or t70 because of the anti surge compressor housing. Don't have a compressor map on it though.

Yeah I had the MP T-70 on an S4 13bT, half bridged. I bought in Dec 04'. I was able to creep just under 1bar in 1st gear. Driving around I could get 1bar around 4500rpm. It was a very strong and loud turbo, It will definately get the job done. But I have since upgraded to the MP GT45.

Well this turbo for specifically for drag applications, I have not tuned the car yet. But you can tell it is a bigger turbo. The turbine wheel is slightly larger than Q-trim and bigger than the T51r. middle of 2nd gear and beyond is golden.

what size was the hotside on that. i just did a hbp for jesse and he has the MP t70. i'm curious to see what the spoolup might be like.

i used a 62-1 with a 1.15 divided and it hit i bar right under 4k on a hbp, but that was at 4500 ft elevation. it would have spooled faster at sea level.

I used the t70 on 1.15a/r given all my readings were with boost leaks in various places. Im sure one might be able to get better results by a few 100 RPMs.

thanks for ur replys guys,
im only aiming for hp around 300-350 at the wheels on low boost (like 9-12psi) and i want it to be at that boost around 3000-4000 on my set up,
does the master power t61 and t64 or even GT37 look similar sizes to the turbonetics 60-1 and 62-1?
thanks

Masterpower only use oil cooling, there are some core replacment turbos that are designed for euro car upgrades bolt ons, those cores are water cooled,

the t61 is close to the 62-1 if I'm not mistaken. The gt37 would be the closest to the 60-1 because it is close to the gt35r and that turbo is very close to the 60-1. My t61 is oil cooled only but don't know about any other ones. Like I said, pm bobybeach and he will answer all your masterpower questions.

edit: oops looks like he just replied

Good to here its running well for you.... Are you still running the cast manifold? or have you gone full divided now?

haha thanks hondahater, The 62-1 doesnt exist, masterpower dont make this compressor. Ive seen this falsly advertised by some sellers.
but yes the gt37 3" wheel is most similer to 60-1. next sizes up are t-60 3.3" wheel then t-61 3.6" wheel and so on....

oh yeah I wasn't saying masterpower had a 62-1 I was just saying it was comparable to the t61........Is that correct to say? Also is slammedblk7 running an undevided manifold with a devided hotside? is that ok to do? I always that was a big no no.

the t61 is closest to the 35r. those and the 60 and 62-1 turbos all put out right about the same amount of power @12-15 psi, but the t61 and 35r keep blowing past the 20psi range, where the 60 and 62 start running out of steam. i made a 35r/60-1 overlay. lemme see if i can dig it up.

I have been using the HKS log for the longest now..Hopefully sometime this year I can have a SS equal length made for me...only thing I'm worried about is it cracking from the heat and the weight of the turbo, it weighs about 36lbs. Sorry to hi-jack this thread but here is a pic when I installed it

oh ok but I thought the gt35r was only good for low boost? Maybe I'm just confused cause most people on this forum are only pushing like 15 to 17 on the gt35r.
