Anyone know the S5's A/R?

I see people saying to get 1.00 A/R Undivided housings or 1.15 Divided housings for good response and power.

Well, what is the guestimated A/R of the S5 housings??? I'm planning on hybridizing an S5 housing with a Turbonetics 60-1 CHRA and a HiFi housing.

It's not a "guesstimate".
Jack Yamaguchi explicitly quotes a turbine A / R of 1.00.

Its 1.00 A/R as Ted stated, but A/R values are relative ONLY to the frame size and or family. EXAMPLE: A T3 turbine with an 1.00 A/R would NOT flow the same a T4 1.00 A/R . The stock turbo is roughly T3~T25 sized (read: MUCH smaller then a typical T4 turbine). Your hybrid idea (not really "your" idea, its been done several SEVERAL times by others) will work great so as long as your not looking to make more then 350 at the wheels (real life 300 or so, but theres been some who made the upper 300 mark). You'll need to port the everliving snot out of the wastegate to keep it from creeping on you.

hmm, yeah, i guess i was thinking way too generally about A/R's. So basically, A/R's can only be useful when comparing housings of similar size/type.

Originally I was hoping for 400whp. The stage 4 BNR's were claiming 375whp or something on a perfect setup. But the more I read, the less confident I am at actually achieving that number. To be completely honest here, I think 300whp is more than enough to put a smile on my face.

Yeah, 400 whp is a stretch. Realistically 350 ish on a typical system. 300whp in a rx-7 will indeed put a huge smile on your face.
