Anyone here capable of this repair???

I just got a Great deal on this hks to4e kit.
The turbo is in great condition except the turbos internally gated the same as an S5 tII. The issue here is that the circle doors on the flapper are missing.
So im looking for some one who can repair these flapper doors or modify the turbo for an external gate in the worst case scenario..
I feel its a pretty strait forward repair if someone can help my I'd be greatful
here some pix
Let me know,
Thanks,
James

whats your budget?

It can be welded... or you can just replace the rear housing with a new one...
I want to say that what it will cost you to buy a new rear housing, would be under the cost of a new wastegate and getting it fixed to your manifold.

Welding would be cheaper, which I assume most machine/welding shops can do this with ease...

I dont get why you would be asking if anyone in here is "capable" of this repair though? Are you looking for a turbo shop that welds or something?

A search and call would have given you this information quite easily.

my budget is get it fixed...
theres no local turbo shops I know of in my area...Im not gonna replace the whole rear end just for the flapper at that point I'd have it moddified to use an external gate... I know it can be welded... Im looking for someone capable, I contacted Brian at BNR and he wanted nothing to do with it...
The closest turbo shop around here is in PA and would require the turbo shipped out anyway..
I know there are qualified people here..

well a rear housing will run under 300 I would think.. how much would a wastegate and welding on the flange for the gate cost? Not to mention it will cost more if your routing the gate back into the exhaust.

Any welding shop can weld the flap closed... it's metal.. any good welder with common sense can do this.

Not trying to get on your case, just saying this is really basis stuff.

Hey, I met you at Jon's shop the one day. I'm the "3rd gen guy."

I CAN do it for $150. Send me just the turbine housing and I'll media blast it and weld it all up. You'll be very happy with the results it will be welded clean and look near new.

PM me if you're interested or goodluck with whomever you chose

Just get it welded shut. Im sure there is someone local to you that will do this. Grab a phone book and look under "W's" for welding. it's a easy fix. should cost you $75 at the most

quick google search. Dont know how close they are.
