Any experiece with the Synaps WasteGate?

I am about to start my Turbo install and my dealer can't get the TiAL wastegate. He's recommended the Synapse wastegate.... we're talking about the same kind of cash, but I want to be sure that this model has a good track record.

It will be used on a stock 1st gen GSL-SE with the CarTech aftermarket bolt on kit. The diaphragm on the stock wastegate is shot.

Thanks!

Personally I only like Tial. I would order the wastegate elsewhere then.

I've heard good things about the Synapse BOVs and wastegate, but they lack any type of track record. Search for their vids on youtube and see if you buy into them. I'm a skeptics and until someone of upper knowledge chimes in their two cents I'll stick to what has been proven.

We use Synapse on all our kits and never had an issue. Shop car uses one running 26 lbs. I will never go back to Tial.

Tial only for me, I've never had a issue once with them. I see no reason to switch.

synapse seems like a really cool new company. I'm totally interested in their products and applaud them for trying some new ideas with old designs. Pneumatic lines for the wastegate is a really cool idea for example.

What made you say that, just curious why you would never go back to Tial.

because for the price of a Tial 44mm I can get a Synapse 50mm. The Synapse also has some nice features like boost control. Nothing wrong with a Tial, just for the price the Synapse is hard to beat.

FWIW a local has an RX-7 store kit with the synapse gate - seems to work great. I'd definetly recommend anyone using them looks over the instructions several times. If memory serves me right, the settings for low boost and high boost are simply switched backwards - would be an easy mistake to make.
