Not one of the turbos listed, but a dyno sheet all the same

Run was on a dyno dynamics, which runs approx 15% less than a dyno jet.

22psi
pump fuel
stock T2 ignition

Australia has higher pump fuel octane than we do here. They also don't have anywhere near the amount of additives we do, too. :p

I was running 15psi on a 60-1 HIFI. The turbine is a P-Trim 0.96 A/R, yep.

That is incorrect, we run some of the shitiest fuel on the planet !

we use a different rating RON in stead of MON, hence our fuel gets a higher octane rating because it is the research octane number instead of the Motor octane number (different testing variables) Your 93 is similar to our 98 octane.

The std here when running 98 RON octane is to not go over 18psi (at sea level) with conventional tunning parameters, it is very rare for many guys to exceed this limit when running a typical single turbo set up while still retaining a good saftey margin. Sure you can pull more boost but when you factor in the richer fuel setting required and amount of timing you need to pull you end up making the same or less power in some cases

Hope that clears up some things for you ?

Highest I have gone with an air to air IC & WI is 23psi on our pump gas (wish I dynoed it like that) with the same fuel mixture setting and spark advance as when I did the 472rwhp run

Peter, am I too much of a pest/naysayer for you to respond to my pm? I want to grow up and be just like you Unfortunately according to my wife I may never grow up... Brian, what do you think is the max usable boost with your setup? How much power do you expect at that level?
Steve, there is no denying you are very fast, but I was following a thread on ausrotary, and the consensus seemed to be that shootout mode was optimistic by a good bit, comment? I'm not flaming, just curious what you think.
I think if nothing else, this thread shows that making in excess of 450hp is a challenge, and a great acheivment for those who do it. Anyone know if NOCAB ever hit the dyno at 20+psi? I think he has made as much power as any one on the GT3540.
Anyone else going to step up with dyno sheets, or are these guys the only ones who can document their acheivment?

It would seem to me that you have to dyno to know how much power you are making to claim it in the first place. Anyway, if any vendors are reading this show us what you've got (XS, A-spec, etc).
I will be tuning my Race port and upgraded T-78 this week. I will try to get on the dyno in a couple of weeks and post some numbers.

Vosko - Timing was back to zero when I ran 22psi! It actually made LESS power on 23psi! lol

carl - the previous year in a non shootout mode, the car made 354hp on 15psi. The next year in shootout mode, it made 354 on 12psi. Thats all I have to say about that

The diff is out of my car at the moment and the new engine isn't fully run in. Once it is, it will be on the dyno to see what I can get out of the GT

Then I won't be far behind posting my new turbo/manifold/WIC combination power figures for pump gas

So watch out Vosko

he already has me beat. he has a 10 second timeslip. that is my goal but apparently its an expensive goal as i have broken 3 transmissions, 3 differentials, 3 ppfs and a set of axles and only mustered a 12.0 @ 118 mph with a broken tranny untuned. i'm gonna tune it before i dyno or race the car again. i hope the 4th time is the charm

Yep, it does. Thanks a bunch. I was told that the fuel there didn't have all the additives like it does here and it also was higher octane directly comparable to that here. Oh well. =)

I'm not honestly sure. I still think I could've pulled out about 15 more hp and MAYBE landed 440 to the wheels if I went to 18psi or so with higher RPM limit (like 8000 or 8100). Who knows?

Who is GD? What turbo is he running? What sort of numbers do you see with the RX6? Will you stick with that turbo, or make a change eventually? You should come check out are local autocross, fast, well organized, good competition, 50.00 to join, and autocross, 25.00 therafter. Anyway good talking to you.

Just be careful, if a shop regularly tunes rotaries, that's alot better, places that are used to pistons are used to adding a little fuel when they hear detonation. Also I think amny guys have their sensors too close to the turbo, this can be just as big a problem when your tuning. Carl
I know that one supposedly "reputable" shop on the east coast found that their o2 sensor was reading about 5% richer than actual.

There may be a few that have decent dyno numbers, but don't surf the net to post them.
Still 42% of the population that don't use the Internet.

GD=Ghetto Dave, he has a T51S FD that has the mazdaspeed widebody, he's in the bay area and organized a few dyno days before. he made 440rwhp.

As far as the RX6 is concerned, it's a keeper, I just love the way it spools to much to get rid of it. While there are other turbos that will make a lot more power, I got this turbo fo the application I will be driving so no need to make monster power levels. I'll have dyno sheets posted soon, but before then everything is hush hush
