Aluminum rad shield for Greddy 2&3 row FMIC's
Ihor and I just finished the production of a prototype radiator shield that helps duct air through the radiator instead of over it. I guess pictures would better explain what I am talking about. We want to see what kind of interest there would be for such a unit. Leave some feedback.

What is that the panspeed setup? We're just making this one for now. Pricing has yet to be determined and is dependant on how many people are interested. I'm driving around with the prototype in my car now for testing and it runs a bit cooler than when I had the 2" gap between the radiator and front of car. If we could meet up with someone with the apexi front mount then we could easily take some measurements and alter the design to fit. It would probably be just a matter of moving the cutout for the intercooler outlet pipe.

I don't have single but interested if you don't cut the panel for the intake pipe on the driver side. I made something for myself using very thin alumninum sheet but i'ts not hoding up. Are these laser cuts?
What is the pricing? $100 is what I estimate is a good value with laser cuts though.

Does Rolls Royce use lasers? No they are all hand made. These are hand crafted jems in the finest old world tradition We don't have the facilities nor equipment for laser cutting. In my opinion it comes out pretty good this way.
Pricing is not set yet, but it will be more than $100. It takes quite a bit of time and labor to make just one.

I'm not sure if it is made by Panspeed. Saw it at HIN. Just an FYI, R-magic makes a pretty nice radiator shroud for the FD. JT imports lists it for $135...so I'd aim to keep the price below that

Yea I've seen that one and it will not fit with front mount intercooler setups because of interferance with the intercooler outlet pipe. It also has alot more holes and appears to be cut for a stock battery. I feel our design is superior to that one and looks much cleaner. Ours is going to come as a kit with all hardware and foam to seal it to the radiator. It will also most likely be fully polished. I'm not sure what the r magic one is made out of, but ours is beafy 1/8th" thick aluminum. It is sturdy and won't flap around. Pricing will be anounced soon, but it is going to cost more than $135. This is mainly due to the time investment it takes to make one. Also, sourcing high quality aluminum is not cheep.

the yellow FD is not a PanSpeed setup...it's a one-off made by www.staffsauto.com in Vancouver. There's an aluminum shield that is vertically mounted between the motor and the rad/IC. the rad is also custom-mounted.

Will this significantly reduce heat? I have a problem under boost, the temps climb to 220-230. I'm afraid of hotspots.
Will it fit my FD? I have a Fluidyne radiator and a custom FMIC(griffen core/hks ends). I really need a new nose, but I don't have the cash.

I'm looking into having them laser cut or milled. If we can get a number of units done at a reasonable cost, this would drop the price significantly.
RotorMagix, we might make a carbon fibre one. I think somone makes one already though. I remember seeing picks but I didn't like the design.
tbonerx7, your ast looks like it will get in the way. It would ahve ot be lovered or relocated. Same with the a/c dryer. We didn't want to cut a big hole for it so on my car we just pushed it down a bit. I'm working on a way to secure it better. The battery is also in the way. Its hard to tell from your pics how high the intercooler pipes come. We're located in NJ. We could always meet up and take some measurements and custom make something. As for your heat problem, where is your radiator? Seams to be stock mounted. I think that is your problem. Also, check that the water pump isn't slipping under hard throttle.

Still not sure on the pricing, but I'm thinking around $150. This will include all hardware and material to seal it to the radiator. The final version will also be fully polished. Cost is gonna depend on interest and cost for us to laser cut or cnc it.
