No Power >5300rpm HELP!
OK here is the setup:
87 TII series 5 conversion (works fine no previous set up, this was not a problem)
T04r (1.15 exhaust a/r)
550 primaries
680 Secondaries
2x 550's (rebic 3) Not running at the time
g-force computer
good plugs
Stock mazda Reman motor 10k miles
10psi
hks standard wastegate (10psi spring)
hks manifold
fluidyne
stock fan
MSD 6-a (on leading)
racingbeat race wires
no emissions (if i had to tell you )
on the dyno at 10psi and no running lean (12.1 or there abouts at the time) and no dettonation the car falls on its face and doesnt make power above 5300 rpm.. you can hold your foot ont he gas and it just looses power. feels like it was loosing boost or it just didnt want to go. it felt like it plateaued at the lower power that it would make. there was an S-afc that i was using that was not made for the second gen ( ie it was working backwards because of the 3rd gen jumpering... not my doing). so i took this off and i am gonna run the car with the rebic more generously. but i dont think that this would cause a problem.
the custom intake contraption that i made should not matter either. 4"->3" reducer from lowes to a 3" exhaust 60* bend (that i made), to at 3" coupler to the MASS AF Sensor (89-91) to the filter. this would not cause this right?
could filter be too small?
could it be voltage related? (alt, battery ect....)
could i be blowing out the spark?
NGK race comp plugs
i really am drawing blanks please send suggestions...
