air filter and air line...

okay atm i have a 4" to a 3" with an elbow in it which has a niple.(which i just noticed) that nipple has a line to the engine just behind and below the fillercap to a metal line. now i just got a 4" filter and want to put it straight on the turbo... what is that line? do i need it? what can i do to make this work?

I think it is for the oil injectors. I have always hooked it up on my car, but I understand that there are other options. I don't think capping the metal pipe is the right answer, but leaving it open, putting a little filter on it, or digging in and removing the lines from the oil injectors are all things that people have tried (and presumably been successful with).

thx max. I think that i'll drill a hole into the rubber part of my filter and put the line directly into that.

they sell coupler nippler...drill the coupler and a nipple pokes thru.
