93 rx7 Single turbo gt35 wont run properly HELP!!!!!
i have a fd and here are the set up gt35, tial 44mm wastegate, tial blow off , 550cc primary and 1600cc secondary, down pipe, test pipe, pettit ecu, intercooler etc. the car runs but sputter at around 4000rpm and wouldn't boost . please help
Ahh read it so fast...
Yes.. you need to get a new ecu. I don't know jack for the pettit... but it's obviously not going to work with your setup in it's current position.
Go Haltech, Power FC, Motec, etc.

Pettit is oem ecu with upgraded chip. check your wastegate. Do you even have a boost controler? You are lucky you can't go ver 4k rpm, otherwise BOOM!

If you won't take our word for it, call Pettit. They'll cleary tell you what their ECU is tuned for, and that it's NOT for your setup. (561-844-2258)
There's no way to "untune," or "retune," the pettit. You don't have much of a choice but to go with a standalone. There's plenty of standalones to choose from. If money is an issue, look through the for sale section of the forum for a used one. You can usually find a good deal on one!

naw, it's probably choking out when the secondaries come online. the 1600's are just dumping buckets of fuel in. but yea...ecu is to blame for this problem.
timing/fuel is def your prob. If that ecu isnt tuned then when the secondaries are coming online its dumping way to much fuel in, this is why you get the sputtering and no boost situation. Like everyone said, Ditch that ecu (prolly could sell it fast on the for sale forums), and get a PFC. You won't regret that decision.
