60FT times with a 5spd

Just interested in some of your 60ft times with a factory 5spd. Also with what tires and at what rpm are you launching.

thanks

I've heard of people cutting as low as 1.35 60 foots on slicks and as high as 2.7 on street tires

All with the factory transmission.

I used to cut 1.8x on Nitto drag radials with 15psi of tire pressure and a nice fat burnout and minimal mods.

i took a look in the drag times section and it looks like most are doing 2.0 to 2.3 not to many under the 2.0. SPOautos, when you cut the 1.8x did you leave under any amount of boost or just using a stutter box?

Nothing like that.....I just played with the patal making the rpms go up and down between 4-5K and when it hit green I floored it and let off the clutch. You have to be running some sticky *** tires to do that.

I do a burnout till I can see smoke at my side window. When I pulled up to the line I could actually hear the tires sticking to the pavement.

Also, this was on the stock clutch haha. I havent launched my car in forever now that it has power and I'm non seq which causes the need for a high rpm launch...just worried I'll snap the diff

i run consistant 1.7's on my daily driven nitto 555r's. 14-16psi depending on track condition and just a little clutch drop for a burnout. i can't heat the tires up because of my wheel hop. a little clutch action will help get it lower. i pulled 2.0 out of some dryrotted yokohama s306's.

1.9 on kumho supras as well... they were bald as **** and I have no idea how the hell I pulled it off. I used some heavy throttle modulation, but then after the first 60' I actually tried to floor it and it spun

Talking

My best 60' footer on street tyres is 2.2 and I was launching at about 4500 rpm.

On slicks I have done a 1.63 60' footer and I dumped the clutch at 10500 rpm.

I'd say I am spooled up but I dont have any positive boost pressure. I am just feathering the throttle waiting for the christmas tree to go down.

spoolin93r1 what time did you run with a 60 ft like that. And more importantly, what suspension work do you have done.

On my old cym with et streets, 18lbs on a t78 I ran a 1.59 60ft on stock tranny, quaife dif, mazdaspeed ppf, and a osgicken twin plate. Launch at 6500 after a nice tire warm up.

it was 1/8th mile. i got a 7.32 on pump gas. i'm still trying to hone my driving skill. the suspension mods are just upgraded toe links, trailing arms, new pillowballs, and tein flex's set to 2 in the rear. it come out hard and didn't spin one bit. i think the track was just a little stickier than usual. that was right around a 5k clutch drop too

12at, i was just curious if anyone is using a retard launch controller to build boost at the tree. I used mine a week ago and maybe had 2lbs, but ive got some maps to change hopefully getting me in the 10lb range at the light. I did notice it came out of the hole alot smoother than when i had just rev it up and dumped the clutch, this could change though with more pressure. All in all im looking for the best 60 i could achieve without serious damage or chassic and suspension work.

I'm still waiting for my solid diff bushings from the group buy. Hows the cars ride with these installed?

i have the pettit solid bushings in my diff mounts. no difference in ride and such. only downside is you'll hear the differential and the gears whining going down the road, especially under decelleration. not really a huge problem, kinda cool sometimes
