I cut 1.50 60' all day on ET streets, launching at 8000rpms and dropping it. My friend Willie is now cutting 1.45's on ET streets and he launches at 8500rpms.

I did notice it came out of the hole alot smoother than when i had just rev it up and dumped the clutch, this could change though with more pressure. All in all im looking for the best 60 i could achieve without serious damage or chassic and suspension work.
Yea i have launched with my antilag on. I dropped the clutch at 9-10psi at about 4600rpm. All it did was spin the **** out of my 555r's. but i havent gotten the chance to try it with my Et drags yet should prove interesting.

1.60 to 1.65 consistently with ET streets. ACT 6 puck, KAZZ diff 5500 to 6000 rpm launch.

I am hoping to get into the 1.5X 60' very soon...

Launching it that high seems like it would leave no time at all to shift into second gear. When dropping the clutch at 8K, what rpm does it drop down to? I guess you have to shift right away huh?

It depends on tyre size and diff gears. For example I had 22 inch tall tyres and a 4.1 diff ratio. I dropped the clutch at 8k and the revs went down to 6500 and it took off like a rocket. Now with 26 inch tall tyres and 4.37 diff gears it bogs down badly with an 8k dump.

I've got ford motorsports 4.30 gears and a 26 inch tall tire. I drop the clutch and it hardly bogs at all. That's why I have a hard time shifting on time.

Are you people dropping the clutch off the rev limiter to achieve these 1.5 short times?

I also should have mentioned that I changed to a very large laggy turbo when I changed tyre size. My powerband has been moved higher up the rpm's. Im changing to 4.8 gears.

This isnt mine, but my friends crx just ran a 1.2 60' today at woodburn raceways in oregon. Its a drag car, but its engine is hardly built, only internal mods are hardend sleaves and hardend pistons to accomidate the 24psi from a big t3/t4. But yeah ... I figured I would mention that since we were talking about 60 foot times. I have never seen a fwd car pull that kind of 60'. It was also a 10.6 second pass.

1.78 60ft

on summitomo 265 X 45 ....160 tread wear rating is the trick.
Nitto 555 drag are only 100. So 160 on a true street tire is awsome.
Have posted vid of launch before.I can get down more but that wiil wait for new motor.

I have now cut many 1.5X 60's with the lowest being a 1.56. All of these were on ET streets with 15psi.

Off the rev limiter? Slipping the clutch? Two step? Dropping the clutch?

How?

1.63 on E.T. drags, leaving at 6800 on the two step. Boost was about 2psi, needs more retard and fuel to hit 10 psi. Ill get it right one of these days.

No need for a 2 step w/ a FD. I cut 1.50's all day, all night on ET streets launching at 8000rpms and dumping it. NO science to it.

NEW best 60 foot for my RX7 1.557 Would have had a deep pass but I lost control of the car after the 330 mark and crossed over into the other lane. Scared the feces out of me.

I was able to cut my 1.557 by bouncing tha car off the rev limiter (8100 rpm) and the dropping the clutch. I'm able to build about 5 lbs at the line that way.

Does anyone else have a problem with their ET Streets walking all over the place down the track? Scares the crap out of me!

I had a 2.1 with Pirelli P7000 Supersports at full inflation (32PSI) with no burnout.... dumped the clutch with 4500RPMs... not much in the way of mods for my car (dp, catback, intake, underdrive pulley, M2 stage 2 ECU)....

Actually, I would have had a much better 330 time if I wouldn't have screwed up before crossing it. It's just a matter of doing it

Call me tonight sometime. You've got my home number, the 5899 one.
