485HP @ 19.5psi - Injector duty through the roof, pump couldn't hack it!

Steve Kan tuned my car today.

Numbers are as follows:

91 Octane @ 15psi - 420hp
91 Octane + Methanol @ 19.5psi - 485HP & 367ftlbs/tq

My injectors were making out at 19.5psi to compensate for the fuel pressure drop. The pump couldn't hack it.. I suppose the cosmo pump is only good for around 430hp. My methanol was allowing me to run the higher boost.

So, I am going to throw in another pump, and run dual -6 lines. Have a dedicated pump for each injector pair. Then.. we're going to tune the boost up on some C16 and make some real power.

Engine hardly had knock.. we're talkin seriously low knock. Thought it might have been a bad knock sensor but it wasn't. Seems Guitarjunkie did one hell of a rebuild. I also am using 3mm RA seals and they're takin the beating just fine.

Car is loud as all holy hell, and has tons of room to grow.

Thanks to:

RR&R for the Badass Price on the Dyno
Steve Kan for his awesome tuning
Slopoke for getting things organized
And my mom, just because.

Thought I would share the numbers

LOL

Seems LUPE and I were having a pissing contest. Had my fuel system been up to par, I believe his first 23psi run (estimated 534hp) would have been achieved.

Not to knock Guitarjunkie but the rebuild has nothing to do with how much knock one gets with-in his engine. That credit mainly goes to the tuner (in which case, you were in good hands).

What where your A/F ratios with the maxed out injectors?

Steve said he wanted to keep upping the boost, but I just didn't have the fuel for it. That sorta pisses me off, but 485hp on the street is just stupid fast. I like to get on it, but until i get a pair of earplugs i'm going to drive like a gramps, haha.

Eric how many times do we have to tell you... you were on a dyno that had a loss of anywhere from 15-20% correction.

Your uncorrected numbers were closer to 534hp. Steve even posted that in your thread.

Yeah I run the single nippondenso cosmo pump, I'm going to throw another one in there.

yes, this was on my T51r KAI.

Did you just say you're running 1600cc PRIMARY??? And secondary??

1600cc primaries.. hope you like to idle at 2000rpm, LOL

IIRC Full boost was achieved around 4700-5000RPM.

Full 4" exhaust, medium port.

dhahlen,

I know you've mentioned this before but how are you powering that pump? Stock wiring or rewired?

I've given them props before.. but what the hell.. I've got no problem throwing out more.. I wouldn't be at this spot without their work.

Don't want to put out their shop name since i am not sure if thats official yet... but I'll just throw out their names....

Ryan, Trevor and Jarrett! There was one more.. but he lerked in the shadows!

The methanol system allowed me to get that extra push.. and these guys did that custom ducting you see over the intercooler radiator... ALONG WITH:

Rewiring the fuel pump for high voltage
Rewiring everything (EVERYTHING!!) under the wheel
Wiring in the boost controller properly (works like a damn charm)
Rerouting engine harness
Throwing in that badass oil cooler.
Steel braided fuel lines and -AN fittings which look sweet
Hooking up methanol system (props to Jarrett on that A/C light hookup, it's badass)
Thanks to Ryan and Trevor for the great price and countless hours of slavery they put into it, and to Jarrett for his skills on the electrical setup on the methanol system.

The list can go on and on... !!

If any of you guys are in Tucson.. definately get ahold of one of them. Trevor is the one usually on the forums.

MORE TO COME WITH DUAL PUMPS! MUAHAHA

there's a post about it in the D-R section.....Hopefully gonna pick it up next week....just waiting on some money to be sent my way for my AF61R....and i'm ordering another Supra Denso pump 850cc top feeds and a KGparts primary rail....running dual Feeds to the rails and rewiring the pumps.
Pump gas tune and maybe some c16 for higher boost.
